Am I the only person who just yells out, "Help!"
-
It hasn't shown on mine in quite some time. I checked the settings and thee is no obvious reason for it.

Yesterday I weighed 122.4. This morning I weighed 121 even. Weight fluctuates madly sometimes.

I'm 62. Age is an excuse, not a reason. I lost my 30 lbs from March to September.

MFP, Endomondo, Jefit, Google Music

I'm 62.

Last night at the gym: There is a young woman with an impressive workout ethic. She came over to me and asked how long I have been working out. We chatted and she told me I was a beast. :)

At 5"5" I reached my goal weight of 125 in September. Since then my body has settled in at 122 +/-. MFP gave me a calorie goal of 1390 at sedentary. I'm not sedentary as I lift 4 times a week as well as other stuff. But my exercise is still added as I wear a HRM when I workout. I weigh daily, which is important for me. I…

80 lbs, use the squat rack. I also do front squats using only the bar (45). My thighs are relatively thin, but hard.

How did you get back down?
-
Aside from space considerations, I like going to the gym and the options that so much equipment offers. Also, after trying more than once, I realized that I really do not like working out to videos.

Oh my! Page 2. Bump.

3hat kind of socks were you wearing?

If someone threw something at me and yelled, I don't believe they would still be my friend.

It's from shivering.

As my older gray haired self was bundling up to leave the gym this evening, a young woman I had seen in the weight room for the first time yesterday was coming in. I had assumed she was a student. But she told me she was an RN in a rehab facility and that she wanted to tell me how much she admired seeing me work out in the…

I'm 5'5" and ate at 1200 from March until I hit my goal weight in September, about 32 lbs. I usually ate back a portion of my exercise calories.

Although I posted this as a nice little summary of supps, I figured it would kick something up. :)

Agreed. Last summer I started making a concerted effort to go to bed earlier. Now I get 8 hours almost every night unless something interferes. I feel better for it.

I can give you a benefit. Several years ago when I was cycling regularly I started having pain in my right hip. It progressively got worse until I was having great difficulty with stairs and stairs are a big part of my life. So I knew I was going to have to call a doctor. But first I got on the net. I diagnosed myself with…

Not at all. But if I have something I can do somewhere else, I will. On a machine I will work in. But on Free weights it seems quicker and saves trouble for them just to give me a shout.

I've been lifting for awhile, but started a new program this week. I have really sore calves. Happily, today is upper body day. Tonight I will take a long soak in epsom salts, roll out those muscles, and sleep in compression socks. If they aren't better by tomorrow, I will roll my Friday workout over to Saturday for an…

Since I'm a smaller female, it isn't realistic to work-in on free weights for me. But if I ask them to let me know when they are done and tell them where I will be, they are all over finding me. Not to mention helping me load my weights.

Check Apps and see if you can have it automatically upload.

Is what you are currently doing working? Apparently not. It has nothing to do with your age. I'm 62. I lost weight the same way someone half my age can do. I counted my calories, everything that went into my mouth. I accounted for exercise. I lost to goal. It doesn't mean you can't have a treat. Just log it. BTW, there is…

Yeah. They generally don't want to elevate your BP. I'm probably older than you (62) so hence the aging out. But lately during casual at-home checks I've been noticing resting numbers like 118/63. So I may start to keep an eye out.

When I was younger I had that problem to the point where I did pass out, esp. when I first got up in the morning.I also dropped at the gym and once onto a concrete floor in the middle of a night club. That one gave me an ambulance ride and a purple face.It wasn't easily diagnosed and I seem to have gotten over it as I have…

Yeah, she hasn't been on the board since 11/4

Let me preface this by saying that I first started lifting in 1989, so I mostly know what I am doing. But due to injury, then illness, then sloth, it has been about 5 years. I joined the gym in August. Last night a guy who has appeared to have been lifting for years told me he was impressed that I came regularly, had a…

Both of these vids are very helpful.
