At the beginning of December I made a deal with myself to work out at least 30 minutes every single day. While I have struggled with that I'm starting to notice a change in myself. The last 4 days I worked out for 45 minutes and put in that extra effort. Pushed myself further by putting on those extra 9 lbs on my weights and wanting to push through the pain to be able to finish a circuit well instead of giving myself a break. I did this not because I had forced myself to do it, but because I wanted to. Realizing this made me so happy!21

this sounds pretty gross but my gut isn't hanging "over" anymore. I'm baffled haha!25

I stayed within my calories today! After an almost three month long break it’s been a little hard getting back on track but I’m managing waaaayy better than I thought I would.20

What a TREMENDOUS and most coveted NSV. That's my kinda pretty gross--big time! I'm waiting with joy, hope and patience for this kinda "pretty gross" nsv, for reals. I'm pretty close to being there, but sooo not yet. Your "gut" no longer handing over is soooo not pretty gross at all, but "pretty" or certainly much prettier than before, for sure. Super Congrats & big ole BOOM and you're looking fabulous...YAY YOU!!!!7 -
I have been self concious about my flabby arms and never wore tank tops or sleeveless shirts. Then when I started going to the gym I found it too hot not to.
I bought a few XL and even a L one and have been wearing them. Well during boxing week the ones I have Been wearing were 1/2 off and I grabbed a L one and threw it in my workout gear bin. Today as I was getting ready I grabbed it then noticed it was not a L but actually a M and got mad at my error. I tried it on anyway just to see AND IT FIT!
I don't remember wearing anything medium in my life. (It's been that long)31 -
Packing for a Hawaiin vacay today. I bought myself two new items in size 10 as I was putting them in the suitcase I actually got a bit weepy. When I hold them up I can hardly believe my *kitten* fits in there! Its a mind bend. A glorious mind bend. Keep on keepin on....38 pounds to go.32

This is day 5 of drinking low (to no)caffeine/no cal oolong and various green and herbal teas (with no sugar or sweeteners) instead of coffee. This is also day 5 of drinking water only instead of caloried drinks (nothing wrong with caloried drinks, just giving coffee and caloried drinks a break for the next 35 days--total of 40 days). I'm also attempting for the next 40 days to get at least 7-8 solid hours of sleep per night.
You might like Jordan's "Skinny Syrups". Zero calories I switched from sugar and creamer to just this and love it! Tiramisu is my favourite.
Never heard of it before, will have to definitely check it out. Thanks so much for the tip, you rock!0 -
A have a couple of NSVs today.
1) This morning I reached ONEDERLAND!! Finally, after a couple of months hanging just that close to crossing that boundary!!! 70 lb down, 50 to go...
2) At the end of October I went to Russia to see my sister and actually "stole" a couple of size 14 jeans from her (she said they fit me better). Today, I was able to take those jeans off without unzipping them first... Time to look for a new size, 10 maybe (holding my breath)?36 -
Oh my! Page 2. Bump.3

A couple of months ago I bought size 8 jeans which were a little too snug, because I was tired of buying new clothes when my last set of new clothes was only a few wearings old. So I figured I would shrink more and should plan for it. And now my size 8s fit perfectly, yay! Even better, I lost half an inch from my waist over my Christmas maintenance period!
Found a bra which doesn't give me loose skin underarm and back issues (Bali smoothing, if you have a need for one).
Broke my plateau on squats, I was stuck at 165 for the longest and did 185 yesterday. Someone on these forums posted a video yesterday about foot placement which involved pressing your big toe into the ground, I tried it and it really helped me. I tend to "taco" forwards when I squat heavy and shifting my weight as they suggested worked wonders, no more accidental good mornings!13 -
Bought meal prep containers and prepared lunch and dinner for Monday-Friday. I get bored easily so sticking with it might be hard.9

Definition in my shoulders! I only noticed because I was brushing my teeth after a shower in my towel. Normally I get dressed right away and I don't have many mirrors. I hadn't noticed until today.18

9 months ago, I was ten pounds from my final goal (-135 lbs) and decided to give running a try. I made it about a tenth of a mile on the treadmill and then wanted to die, or at least throw up. I was pretty sure this new endeavor of mine was going nowhere. But one thing losing weight taught me was to never give up, never let anyone tell you you can't, never say I'm too old, etc. Today I ran 6 miles straight. At 51, I am in better shape than ever before in my life. And not by a little--but a lot! PERSEVERE my fellow travelers on this journey--"impossible" goals CAN be reached. And it feels really good when you do.51

I haven't used MFP in a while but have been consistently working out and have had a few good NSVs this past year. The best one recently was when I was looking through my drawers, I found a pair of jeans that still had the tag on them. My mom bought them for me at least 2 years ago when I was visiting for Christmas. She dubbed them my jeans for when I "lose weight." They were snug and I had major muffin top when I tried them. They were sexy and originally $90, but we found them for $7 so she insisted on buying them for me anyways.
So I happened upon these bad boys this weekend when I was putting away laundry, having completely forgotten about them. Not only do they fit. There's no muffin top! No problems zipping. No nada! They look great! Woot! New Jeans!45 -
My recent NSV is that my "skinny jeans" (you know the one pair that you can't part with, even if they are many sizes too small) from my former thin days are now becoming too big!! It wasn't that long ago that I longed to simply be able to pull them up over my hips!21

Yesterday I ran for 5km straight! I didn’t slow down to walk at all. I’m still so excited.33

Isn't that just an awesome feeling!!!!!!!!!!7 -

I've decided to try this approach for my last 10 stubborn pounds too. I'm not close to where you are running, but the first time I ran for 5 minutes, I celebrated. Today I signed up for my first 5K!19 -

Oh that is amazing!!4 -
My weight loss buddy fell off the wagon over the holidays. My NSV is that they are back on, back to checking in daily, drinking their water, and being honest and accountable!
There are so many resolutioners (like the couple of stories above) but my little team has been chugging along for almost a year and still going strong, despite a couple of little bumps on the road.27 -
Hubby and I went to an over night spa retreat and for the first time I did not have to ask for the "big girl" size robe, I fit right into the one size fits all and it was actually wrapped around me... #Winning36

15 pull ups with a 20lb vest...
Up from 13 last week24 -
I can button my pre-baby clothes! Still a tab tight, but it's getting there25

Got an award last night from the Y. Okay, so it's just something printed out, but it means I have been following the coaches program for 6 months and graduated from it. I really think the guy was surprised I stuck with it. Still went again this morning.42

That is great. Let's face it. The stats are not in our favor as far as sticking with these types of things. Well done!8 -
I'm a bit of an emotional wreck right now- BUT I'M NOT STRESS EATING!44
-
I went out for a high calorie breakfast on the weekend. I didn't allow it to completely derail me. I made a healthy dinner and moved on. And tried to not let myself stress about the extra calories (a big issue for me previously).
And I hit ONEDERLAND today!!!!50 -

That’s tough to do, congrats! But if you find you’ve just gotta have something, try tootsie pops or some other sucker. I’ve done that through stressful situations, or just times when people usually eat, like at movies. Has really helped and saved tons of calories. Hope your stress levels go down soon.8 -
I took advantage of after Christmas sales and bought a few new pairs of pants. NSV #1 is that they are the first non plus size pants I've bought/worn in over 7 years. Almost cried when I put them on. NSV #2 is that only two weeks later they're already feeling loose and baggy! For the first time ever I'm hoping clothes will SHRINK in the laundry!23
