bumping to save..
-
Thanks again everyone! It's very disheartening to be doing all the "right" things and gaining! On a side note I had personal best in squats, deads and leg presses today, so there that at least...
-
I did have MFP set me at a maintenance goal (1550 for lightly active), though with 17.5 hours of exercise a week I think i fall at least in the moderate category, but was worried about gaining..oh the irony! *lol*
-
Would this cause weight gain also do you think?? Thanks again everyone who has taken the time to help e out!
-
NOOOO, not pregnant! If I was, i'd have some 'splaining to do, since DH took care of that after our last child was born! *lol*
-
I have an appointment for after Christmas. ;) Just wanted to hear what others thought, or may also be going through...
-
I have DR. issues, long story, but I try and wait as long as I can to go! *lol* Plus I was hoping my period would come back...sigh.
-
I don't eat my exercise calories back, I basically eat 1500-1700, more so on the 1500 end. I just like to see the numbers from the exercise. *lol*
-
What do you mean by "gross" calories?? I don't add my walking calories to MFP, I just let my FITBIT do it's thing for those. I only log my weights and cardio from the gym...
-
Oh sorry, I *think* I feel spongier, but I can also see that I have "bigger" muscles in places, if that makes sense!!
-
Ya according to that calculator, I burn 418 walking for 90 minutes at 4 miles an hour, and that was when I was 117, so I guess I burn more now? What are some thoughts on it being water weight for screwed up hormones, and possible adrenal fatigue?? Just trying to think out loud here..
-
But WHY did I maintain 117 for 7 months eating what I was eating, why all of a sudden is it to much??
-
MFP gives me 1550 calories for lightly active, which I am pretty sure I am more then... Ok, so lets see...totals for the past week today..1489 yesterday..1440 Tuesday...1487 Monday...1590 Sunday..1447 etc.. So those of you who think I should eat less, how much less??
-
My FITBIT gives me 480 and my HRM gives me @ 500 for 90 minutes. I walk pretty fast. How are they both wrong? (not arguing, really curious for an answer :D )
-
Yes, early menopause could be a possibility. I do have PCOS, but when I lost my weight my hormones went back into normal ranges. Thanks everyone for the help. I hear you all about eating to much, but I just can't see how I am when I maintained 117 for months eating that amount..sigh. It is SO frustrating to have worked so…
-
I don't actually don't eat my exercise calories back, never have. I eat straight up 1500-1700.
-
Oh and one more thing, when I say I was 117 in August. I had been maintaining that weight since the previous January, eating 1500-1700. So this was a rather "sudden" weight change...
-
I am (or was at least) at 18% body fat...
-
I should add, according to my FITBIT my average TDEE is 2,300 calories. I use a HRM and burn @ 400 on my walks (4 miles an hour for 90 minutes). I usually burn @ 400 doing the weights and cardio days (usually 2 hours total), and 500 on cardio days.
-
Thanks! Anyone else??
-
I know all this, and do use a HRM. I guess I should have been more clear. I want to make sure I am eating enough using the TDEE - 15% approach . :)
-
Everybody says they overestimate, but surprisingly, for me they underestimate. My HRM always gives me a higher reading, go figure!

-
My god I LOVE you!! *lol*
-
Bumping...anyone else? :D
-
Over a year now, I'll check it out! Thanks.
-
I am trying not to worry to much, but I would rather not gain any weight if it can be helped! :)
-
Mon-Wed-Fri, 90 minutes of weights, 30 minutes cardio. Tuesday, Thursday @ 90 minutes of cardio, Sat 60 minutes of cardio, Sunday rest. I also walk 15 km 5-6 days a week.
