I am of a mind that menopause could possibly be the culprit. doesn't matter what country you are from. if you are a woman you are going to go thru it. Have your adrenals checked and your thyroid as well. Adrenals are the easy one to fatigue and so is thyroid burn out.
don't let them talk you into taking the fake thyroid hormone. it will mess you up. try something natural like Estriol and natural progesterone especialy if you find it is thryroid or adrenal. There are a lot of supplements as well that will support both of those glands if you have them htere in your country.. Don't ive up. help is on the way.. try e-bay, but know the suppliers reputation before you buy.. lots of choices out there. go getum girl.0 -
I did have MFP set me at a maintenance goal (1550 for lightly active), though with 17.5 hours of exercise a week I think i fall at least in the moderate category, but was worried about gaining..oh the irony! *lol*
MFP's activity levels don't include exercise, merely daily activity for work. That's why you find no description of exercise in them, but work related jobs.
They don't ramp up the calories enough for exercise to be included usually, unless you did very little exercise.
MFP Lightly active - BMR x 1.35
TDEE table Lightly active (1-3 hrs weekly) - BMR x 1.375
MFP Active - BMR x 1.45
TDEE table Moderately Active (3-5 hrs weekly) - BMR x 1.45
MFP Very Active - BMR x 1.55
TDEE table Very Active (6-7 hrs weekly) - 1.725
As to FitBit being off - it basing it's moving calculations on your weight, and height to calculate a stride length to estimate pace.
But as you've seen, that calorie burn for walking 90 min is right on for your weight, there is no double-counting by the FitBit.
But FitBit does base all non-moving time on BMR calculated on age, weight, height formula, so if that is off from reality, that might be 2/3 of your day if a sedentary desk job.0 -

I've been taking 'fake' thyroid hormone for 15 years. It's worked beautifully, as it does for many many other people. No scaremongering is needed here.0 -
Thanks again everyone! It's very disheartening to be doing all the "right" things and gaining! On a side note I had personal best in squats, deads and leg presses today, so there that at least...0

You've gained 12 lbs. since Aug. and started lifting in Sept. *Part* of it might be water retention in healing muscles. I get it for months after starting. Not a gain but a plateau in losses.
