I lift weights M, W, and F. I usually run on Tuesday and Thursday. Most Saturdays I either run or weight lift depending on how I feel. Most Sundays are rest days but when I get restless I will take a long walk.0

I typically have been working out 5x/week. I burn about 1400 calories on average/week. What I actually do in terms of exercise will depend on my mood...I don't have a "set" plan. I will walk, jog, take classes (zumba, turbo kick, body pump or yoga), Insanity, play tennis, hike, lift dumb bells etc....0

30-100 minutes cardio daily, bench press every other day and I do curls and lats on the opposing days 2x 4x8 ( don't know how long it takes but I rest 30-60 seconds between sets ) and I walk 1.6 miles daily0

My god, the OP works out a lot.

I work out 5-6 days a week for 30-100 min.
its weird to me that people equate working out with the ability to eat more or less food. working out for me is just about getting stronger, faster etc...0 -

30 min of cardio followed by 75-90 min. of lifting depending on if it's a squat day or if we get in early in the morning (more time if we work out first thing) 5x a week.
Sometimes if I have extra energy I'll throw in a vigorous dog walk of 3-4 miles or a run or a bike ride.0 -
6 days a week 50-120 minutes of cardio
Strong class 3 days a week 30-50 minutes.0 -
1.5 - 3 hours of rock climbing, 3 or 4 sessions per week. 1.5 hours of Wendler 5/3/1 lifting + cardio, 3 days per week. Usually some sort of bike ride (15-30 miles) or a run (5-7 miles), 1 day per week.
My sessions usually burn between 1000 and 2000 calories, depending on duration and intensity.0 -
That seems rather excessive.

Hi
I do Zumba Gold 6 days out of 7 for at least 60 minutes. That's because I decided to teach it and I'm learning choreography and getting fitter. I'll be delivering classes soon and will probably do 120 minutes twice a week and 60 minutes 3 other days. I have a day off and another when I teach theatre improv, voice and singing and do lots of steps and walking.
Zumba Gold is medium intensity exercise with a short cardio section. This is working for me as my BP is low. I hope to get fitter and will put more exercise into the mix. I've been using my Fitbit One with MFP for 11 days.0 -
Mon-Wed-Fri, 90 minutes of weights, 30 minutes cardio. Tuesday, Thursday @ 90 minutes of cardio, Sat 60 minutes of cardio, Sunday rest. I also walk 15 km 5-6 days a week.0

1 day rest day per week (except for walking the dog)0 -

I do the P90X program with my wife.
Every day is about an hour, then every odd day an extra 15 minutes for abs. Every Thursday is yoga and every Sunday is stretching for an hour. It's well balanced. While it may seem excessive, it isn't, because everyday you are working out a different part of your body. So we do that for a month, then a week break (and during that break week we are actually doing core exercises, more yoga and more stretching) and then the next month it's a similar work out regime again, but there are different exercises and the dates you do them are different. It's all about muscle confusion. Never plateauing by always changing it up.
It's hard, but it's suppost to be. Hence P90X where X is for Xtreme.0 -
i do 30 min of cardio twice a day and weights for 45 min everyday . How long are your workouts , how many days a week ? Just curious
I just revamped my workouts, having completed the "Learn to 10k" program. Now I'm on a triathlon-specific plan with cycling, swimming, running and weights, each at least 2x a week (every other week there is an extra run thrown in). It's about 60-90 minutes a day, depending on mix of steady state and intervals.0 -
45-60 minutes, 5 or 6 days per week. Mon-Fri is no problem as (thankfully) there's a gym right here in my office building. Not many good excuses when it's that convenient! I didn't do much on the weekends this summer but I'm trying to do more now that the temps are dropping. I'm trying to either get out for a walk or do a workout DVD one day per weekend.0
-
I do bootcamp for 2-3x/week for 1 hr
2 days a week I do cardio for 15 minutes followed by 40 minutes of personal training0 -
That seems rather excessive.
I work out 5-6 days a week for 30-100 min.
For you, maybe it is.
I work out 5 days a week for 90-120 minutes. Sometimes I'll add something in on the weekends like a run or a bike ride. If I hit the gym in the morning during the week sometimes I'll add another round of cardio in the afternoon.
There's no "rule" that says how long or how many days is required to workout. What might seem excessive to one person is perfectly fine to another.0
