  • I have MS so very limited on my exercise as well. I love water aerobics! Also, yoga is great, there are quite a few really good videos for yoga from a chair or on the floor with limited mobility. I have always had a weight problem, but the limited mobility saw me over the 300 lb mark....down almost 30 lbs now. A long way…
  • I need the motivation as well. I started out strong last year and just the same plateaued and stopped. I have a NEW JOB and a new attitude and many more pounds to lose! WE CAN DO THIS!!!
  • I have always been overweight, but as I began to feel worse and worse my weight spiralled out of control. At over 300 lbs, I found out I have MS, depression and pain made me gain more. I picked myself up out of the depression and started this journey to stay OUT of a wheelchair. I am hoping that being fit will keep me…
  • I work behind the counter in a Visitor Information Center, our counter area is on a one step raised area. A couple of us do counter pushups when we don't have visitor's or calf raises on the edge of the platform, seeing how many we can each do before the next customer comes in the door.
  • Yes, as you learn to make better food choices it does get easier. Now I opt for steamed veggies instead of a potato, grilled chicken instead of fried chicken or red meat, lots of food choices out there! Feel free to check my diary, I feel like I have eaten ALL day, 3 meals and 3 snacks and I still am way under calories for…

  • Hubby is 5'7" and we celebrate 34 yrs in August......no problem for me! (of course I am 5'3")!
  • I have MS...I am so afraid that my size will put me in a wheelchair much sooner than I would be if I was smaller and more fit. Although I have said this to many, no one knows how totally scared I really am!
  • George Donaldson......enough said! Google him!
  • Anybody who looks at their sign will find stuff that is good for them to do in order to lose weight. ("Avoid sugar." "Eat more fiber." etc.) It has nothing to do with where the stars might have happened to be relative to the earth when one was born. Follow any of them to improve your weight loss. Follow all of them to…
  • I have been here for over at year, time, lots of time....yes, I yo-yo sometimes, yes, I have plateaued more times than I want to count. I can't exercise too much because I have MS....BUT still 60 lbs gone!!! It will work but it's NOT a quick fix....and as others have said less processed foods help, lower sodium helps me…
  • Friend request sent.
  • So far so good on the new body thing.....my ultimate goal...stay out of a wheelchair! I have the Primary Progressive form of MS, losing weight and toning is keeping me out of a wheelchair. (Plus, still managing to maintain a full time job!)
  • I also reserve calories for those late night cravings and I have lost weight. Usually yogurt or cereal does the trick for me.
  • There is much controversy over Aspartame, if it works for you then great in my opinion. I personally avoid anything with artificial sweetners, and not because of ANY advertising, rumors, or anything on the internet. Personal experience....artificial sweetners cause me to have massive migraines. I used them for several…
  • I work at a counter in a Welcome Center.....when no one is in the center, I use the counter to do "counter push ups".
  • I personally think that is a GREAT number.....looking forward to that number myself...and you can take that anyway you want!!!
  • So excited....I finally get to go back to Curves after my fall....Monday (4/2) will be my first workout day, I can't wait to get back, even though Dr. says take it slow to start!!!
  • My own recipe for Mango Spanish Rice....I am allergic to tomatoes!
  • It is most definately a slow process. I am 54 and I have MS, so exercise is difficult. However, time, patience and dedication will win the battle. It has taken me over a year to lose 60 lbs and I have another 115 lbs to go. I don't expect miracles, I am just taking it one day at a time and getting healthier which is my…
  • I can't wait to get back to Curves...I had a bad fall 2 weeks ago today, and the dr says another 4 weeks for the broken ribs to heal!!!!!
  • I have a lactose intolerence, so I use Almond Milk. The brand I use has MORE calcium than dairy, but I do try to get my protien from other sources. We are all different, it's a matter of what works for you!
  • Several people have commented on my loss, but my fav was from hubby last Sat. I have gone from a (Lane Bryant) size 24/26 to a size 20 jean....he told me my size 20's were getting way too big...then proved himself right by telling me to stand still as he grabbed the legs and yanked them down with unfastening them!!!!
  • Funny you should say that....my dress was bright white and silver....we used sky blue, but being a lover of yellow....my main flower we worked with was yellow roses. Turned out beautifully!
  • 310 and at 5'3"..that's very "round". 52 lbs down, hope to reach ONEderland this year or at least get close!
