Your body burns calories every single minute performing bodily functions. Move around some, and your body burns more. The amount of calories you'd burn if you were in a coma (basic life functions) is your BMR, or basal metabolic rate. If you're up and moving around, the amount of calories you burn in a day is your TDEE, or…

Here's a link to a pic of female athletes (can't get photobucket to load or I'd put it in the post) and you can see that several of them don't have nipped in waists--their body is more rectangular. As a pp said, it's genetics. http://www.basicknowledge101.com/photos/2014photos/womeninsports3.jpg

The model's hips are 37.5, not 32. I agree that maybe OP has narrower hips, and that's why she thinks her waist is "wide."
-
I'm gonna need a picture to see what someone whose 28 inch waist is wider than their hips looks like.

Pneumonia is no joke; I would expect you to be out of commission for at least a month. Pneumonia used to be the number one cause of death in the world; and after the invention of antibiotics it's still in the top ten.

How tall are you and how much do you weigh?
-
Calorie surplus and a heavy lifting program is the fix for skinny fat, not trying to lose more weight.

This. You can develop a new allergy at any time. And if you're allergic to one tree nut, it's very likely you'll develop allergies to other tree nuts.

You should get referrals for a dietician an physical therapy from your surgeon

Me too, and I'm a woman.

It can make mucus thicker, making the normal amount more noticeable.

As an old person, I can remember when almost all produce you bought at the store had some creature in/on it. Remember the joke "What's worse than finding a worm in your apple? Finding half a worm."

I love that Skittles is listed under carbs.

Have you tried jumping rope yet? It's a high intensity workout and I'm lucky to do 5 minutes straight.

You only store fat when you're eating too much, not too little. Otherwise, starving people would be obese.
-
I get this also. "You're thin! You can eat whatever you want!" I always answer "Not if I want to stay this way." Then they look puzzled.

This. I worked with a woman like you, and, like you're considering, she gained weight to qualify for weight loss surgery. It worked for a while; but since she went right back to the same old eating habits, she now weighs more than she did before surgery.
-
I used to work with people who would do anything to lose weight except count calories for a moderate deficit and exercise. Every fad, woo, starvation diet they were all over, and, of course, never lost weight. They would ask the obese woman who lost and regained weight what to do, and when I asked them why they asked her…

Hummus, almonds, and peanut butter are calorie bombs. As others have said, it's not about healthy, it's about calories.

My hysterectomy was pre menopause. I had bladder issues from the fibroid (it both moved and compressed my bladder) and they were gone after surgery; right back to normal

There are protein bars with 15+ grams of fiber--Quest, Mission, and Costco's Kirkland brand.
-
Mine was about the size of a volleyball and weighed over six pounds. Instant flat stomach (instead of looking like I was pregnant) post op!
-
When training, Michael Phelps ate anywhere between 8,000-10,000 calories a day. He'd never get there if all he ate was fruit, vegetables, and lean protein. The goodies are what made him reach his goal.
-
Protein bars are convenient and easy to eat at a desk.

Ask for a to-go container to come out with your meal. Immediately place half of the meal in the container and then eat the remaining.

Then please call hime/her by their actual, hard-earned, licensing exam-passing title. Any doofus can pay $75 and get an online certificate that says they're a "nutritionist," which in the U.S. isn't a protected term and means nothing.

If the problem is a muscle spasm, I presume they're trying to lessen the possibility of muscle tear if they manipulate you "cold."

I work in healthcare and so VERY skeptical about chiros. Then I did something to my back. Muscle relaxers weren't helping, I was in too much pain to do the exercises the doc gave me, I was sleeping in a chair because it was too painful to get in and out of bed. My best friend kept telling me to go to her chiro, and I was…

Measure with cups or weigh with a scale? Measuring cups are inaccurate.
