I did the Dragon a couple of years ago on a Kawasaki KLR 650 I rented in Townsend. I liked it so much I bought a 2009 model a couple of months later.

Bulletproof Coffee is in the database. Mmmmmm....

Many in the Paleo community Do Not advocate a high-fat version of the diet. Its just what seems to be working for me now. My metabolism slowed down after I quit smoking in 2009. Until then, I did great with lean protein, fruit and a few veggies. Even though I feel great, if your 'everything in balance' mindset worked for…

I've been doing a high-fat version of Paleo/Primal/Bulletproof since the first of the year. 67% fat/22% protein/11% carbs is what I came in at this week. I've been low-carb off and on for several years, but this is the best I've felt in a long time.

When I had thyroid issues, it took all I had to get out of bed in the morning. I was always cold and my joints hurt. The few times I tried to force myself to work out, it made me feel panicky, like something was chasing me. According to my Holistic NP, most people are probably better off getting their thyroid lined out…

You are not the only one to sruggle with this. There have been times when we have had junk food in the house, and that seemed like all I could think of until I'd eaten it. All of it. Then I would feel that guilt and shame that you're feeling. Then that guilt and shame would feel so bad that I would eat more crap to make me…

The exercise you're doing is pretty much my fave. Lately though I've become a big fan of foam rolling. There are some good videos on YouTube.

As someone else said, go to stopthethyroidmadness.com. Try to find a Doc. who will check your REVERSE t3. If it is too high, in relationship to your Free t3, you will be tired, cold and achy.

Awesomeness!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!

I've been doing some version of lowcarb for almost 10 years. I've derailed several times, largely from smoking, then quitting, only to start again...I"ve been eating well since the first of the year, feeling great, and the weight is coming off. Like you, I've tried WW, counting cals, etc, but nothing else lifts my spirits…

One time I ate a carbohydrate.....

There is a 2 minute video on YouTube called Aprilmeals by artdevany. It's a slide show of his meals. Plus, there is some relaxing accoustic guitar background music. Good luck!

Yes. No. At age 39 I read Neanderthin (similar to Paleo) and followed those guidelines VERY LOOSELY. I lost weight like crazy and couldn't believe how much energy I had. Now, 10 years later, I'm pretty much down to meat and eggs and low carb veggies to feel happy and energetic. I had my thyroid checked last year, and my…

This is my problem as well. If you don't mind, how old are some of you guys that can eat all of that sugar and still feel great and lose/maintain your weight? Personally, it seems like the older I get, the fewer carbs I can tolerate. Age: 49

Dr. Eades has a good article about low carb flu. For me, it takes about 2 or 3 weeks to kick cravings and feel awesome. Exercise: I DON'T EXERCISE UNTIL I FEEL TOO GOOD NOT TO. In the past, I have forced it and it gave me panicky feelings and made me anxious. You might try some Qi Gong movements that you can find on…

I used to have the exact same problem. Now I don't at all. AT ALL. Two things made all the difference: 1: Eating a Ton of protein at breakfast. (Google Dr. Jack Kruse's Leptin Reset Protocol). 2: Drinking Bulletproof Coffee at breakfast. (look around Bulletproof Executive website).

I LOVE how I feel when I eat and move according to Paleo guidelines. Energy and mood are like a million times better. As far as negative affects... it seems like I can't tolerate carbs or processed foods without going into a sugar coma. I'm new to this board, but frankly I'm surprised by how many posts I've read by people…

We have the QVC model, which is much cheaper than the one Chuck Norris endorses. Great piece of equipment!
