I've made a list of my inspirations to get fit. Whenever I need a little motivation I just read that list.

I'm glad you posted this. I've been wanting to try Almond Milk but have hesitated buying it thinking it would taste strange. I'm not a big milk drinker either so will definately give it a try now.

I've been trying to do the same thing. Today I had a couple of stalks of celery and half a sliced cucumber with a turkey sandwich instead of chips. It was really good! I also found a supplement to add to water called Greens to Go. I got it at Costco but have seen it other places too (grocery stores etc). I really like the…

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know what it's like to lose a long time furry companion. You are grieving your loss right now. Do what you have to do to get through it. I know it's hard to do the things you did with Lady now but one day these memories will be comforting. It's a way to keep her with you always. When you are…

When I reached my first goal I got a pedicure. My second goal (about a pound away) I'm planning to buy a new workout outfit. I think it's great to give ourselves a reward (non-food related) when we reach pre-set goals along our journey. Yes, the weight loss and better health is a reward in itself but heck, we've worked…

Because of al lthe arm movements and use of weights I log them as Aerobics, Low-Intensity or Areobics, General, depending on how I'm feeling at the end of the workout. I just love her videos.

You can find a list of potassium rich foods on the internet. I try to watch my potassium intake as well. I'm glad to learn here that food manufacturers aren't required to put potassium in the nutrients list and hope I am getting more than MFP shows. BTW the potassium we are talking about is Potassium Citrate not the…

Don't know why you might be craving it but I have heard cinnamon is very good for you. I sprinkle it on cottage cheese or add it to plain greek yogurt with a splash of vanilla. Yum!

I've tried the Southwestern Style Egg Beaters and it's really yummy. I make a Breakfast Burrito out of the Low Cal Wheat Tortilla, 1/4 cup Egg Beaters, and a slice of reduced calories cheese. The whole thing is about 180 calories.

Sounds really good! Will give it a try. Thanks for posting. :flowerforyou:

I count them. My motto is "you bite it, you write it.". Actually I think it's good to log veggies not only for the calories but if you are watching other factors such as carbohydrates, sodium, potassium, etc. they need to be logged.

Looks like what you are putting in your smoothy is "real food". I wouldn't worry about what your sister says and just enjoy!

I do several of Leslie Sansone's videos too and I use Aerobics, Low Intensity or General Aerobics depending on the intensity.

Tree Top Organic Sugar Free Apple Sauce cup or celery with hummus or Laughing Cow Cheese wedge.

Great tips Jenn. Love being able to add lots of flavor without a lot of calories! I'm going to give some of your combinations a try. Thanks!

Excellent Idea! I'm going to get out a smaller glass now.

Well this isn't butter (or margarine) but I just had a piece of toast and spread a wedge of Laughing Cow Light Original Swiss Cheese which has only 35 calories. Tasted great!

What a great list of healthy recipes. Thanks for taking the time to post!

Hey, I think I've found my "peeps". I too am ready to cut out the empty calories that come with my wine, but I'm not ready to cut out my wine. I have definately cut back since I started on MFP and now so happy that I found my fellow lushes. I love my wine! In the past hubby would have a bottle of wine open for me when I'd…

One of my favorites is celery dipped in Hummus or a handful (about a quarter cup) of almonds.

My favorite is Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds 5-Day Fit Walk". It's an indoor walking video with 5 different workouts; a 1-mile walk (Get Up and Get Started), 2-Mile Walk using weights (High Calorie Burn), 30-minute walk, Walk and Kick (incorporates short bursts of kickboxing moves); and the Power Mile. Leslie is…
