Have you tried IIFYM (if it fits your macros) to see what it recommends? Likely because of the amount of working out that you're doing you're eating far too few of calories. I am 233, and 5'6" so a bit bigger than you..but I eat 2046 calories a day regardless of whether I work out that day. It stays the same each day, so…

shelled means "out of the shell" I think that's where you're getting confused.

There's a ton of free yoga videos on youtube, Namaste Yoga is one of my favorites if I am looking for a relaxing one.

I don't, but I do sometimes talk about calories and such from time to time...especially "empty calories". I don't want to give them a complex, but at the same time I think that children need to get an idea about what calories are and what food does for them. For example...a 500 calorie balanced meal is not the same as a…

Well, I see very little protein in your diet and a lot of snacky foods and not much "real food" so that could be one reason. However; If you're at a good weight then you need to exercise to change how your body looks, not eat less. You need to put yourself on a maintenance level of calories and work out. I understand time…

I'm doing Sat or Sun (weekends are tricky for me and it'll be about when I can get the time to do it) and then Tuesdays and Thursdays. These days work because it'll allow me to do either weekend day and still have it be 48 hours minimum between lift days :) I started last night at home since we've all been sick here and…

It depends on how much you're eating and whether you're really eating over what you need to lose weight. A lot of people think they need to eat far less than they actually do, so if you're eating over what your goals are set to it's quite possible you're still eating at a deficit to your TDEE. When I was first starting out…

If you're lifting you want to be eating more protein than what MFP advises. Even with my percentages raised I look at it more like a minimum goal for protein (and fat too if it's healthy fats). Your RMR isn't what you want to eat at, that's how much your body needs if it was to be doing absolutely nothing. Check out this…

The scale absolutely lies! Weight fluctuates a few lbs a day, and fluctuates to different numbers different days during a week. Add in the fact that you've been exercising and that will cause water retention, which can pack on quite a few lbs. Look at what you're eating. To have gained almost 3 lbs you would have had to…

I'm game for starting next week! I started it about a month ago but then never really got going since I was lacking equipment at home. We have gym memberships now though and I'm ready to get going for real, though I'm a bit apprehensive since I have very very little strength training experience other than using machines.

I log mine as water aerobics.

I lost about 13 the first month, and then my second month I've lost 4. 4 per month is actually my goal, slow but steady! :)

I love all olives! My son loves black, my mom loves all olives, brother likes green, SIL loves black, MIL likes both..I actually only know a few people who DON'T like olives! :)
-
Maybe someone actually ate like 8 of them but didn't want to put that on their log so they just entered it as one :P

Is it a cookie pizza? Like those cookie cakes they sell for birthdays? That's crazy...and scary...step away from the giant cookie!!

Congrats! I'm getting there...I can see the exit...straight ahead just 2.4 pounds down the road!

There's so many things that contributed to it for me. 1. As a kid/teen I had a great metabolism and could eat whatever I wanted and never gained weight. I was thin but I ate horribly and never worked out. I got used to the idea of doing nothing to maintain a weight. 2. I had children and used each pregnancy as an excuse to…

Is there a plasma donation center by you? You could go in there, donate some plasma and they give you either cash or a debit type card. It takes about an hour or two and you can do it twice a week. Some places offer like $15 but some offer $50 or so each time. Even if it's on the lower end if you can do it twice a week…

This is a very important lesson that I'm just getting the hang of this time around! I had always given up when trying to lose weight if I had a bad day (or two..or three). I now know that I just need to start fresh the next day and not let one day of bad eating decisions affect my overall goal!

If you've ever tried to lose weight before you've probably been programmed to think that you have to eat like a rabbit, super low calorie, mainly just fruits and veggies and no treats or snacky foods at all or you won't lose. This usually does make people lose weight for a little bit but they're so miserable and exhausted…

Yes we do, and a similar starting point too!

I love Brooks' running shoes. I went to ****'s Sporting Goods when I got mine and they watched me walk and run to tell how my foot moved during that. They can then tell you based on your measurements and pronation which shoes would be best for you. In my case they're the ones who recommended my first pair of Brooks' and…

I'm not even sure what I can expect or what would be a reasonable goal by summer! I'd love to be more comfortable in a bathing suit, but I think it might take more time to get there. I might stick to being able to find shorts that fit me well and that I like. That's always been a big struggle for me. Regular sizes are…

That's awesome! Great job and a real inspiration that the scale is NOT the only thing that matters!

Ok here it goes! These are my basically before photos, I've lost 10 lbs but I still have a lot of work to do before I'd actually feel comfortable in a bikini!
-
Ok I thought I knew how to post photos but I guess I don't. Back to researching that LOL

Me too! Just got back from it, it really was not nearly as bad as I thought it'd be! I have to agree with others now who say it's a mental block..once I got past that and just accepted that I WAS doing this and there was no point in that little voice in my head saying "I can't, I can't" it was relatively smooth sailing! Oh…

I pull mine tight enough that it's snug but not so tight that it's indenting into the skin...if that makes sense. If it's pushing into the skin then I know it's too tight, and if there is space under it then it's too loose.

I'm really not understanding why leaving is out of the question. Has he put that idea into your head? It doesn't matter if you have a kid with him, if he's treating you this badly you do not have to stay with him and you SHOULD NOT stay with him. He's abusing you with that behavior and you don't deserve that.

Awesome job! I did my week 5, day 2 today too! I haven't tried foam rolling, but that sounds interesting..I'm going to google it and see what I can find on it!
