An 1800 calorie cookie..?!

How is there any way that a big chocolate chip cookie from Extreme Pizza has 900 calories in HALF of it? It weighs less than a stick of butter, which would only have about 800 calories.
Am I missing something here? How is that even possible?

Um... I can't really answer your question, but I find it kind of horrifying that they managed to make a cookie with so many calories in it. I know a cookie recipe that I could eat half the batch of 50 in one sitting before I even get close to such a high number. Something I could never do since three in one sitting is usually my limit.
I would stay FAR away from that thing.
I found their website and noticed that the other two cookies they have don't have nearly as many calories. Seriously, it looks like the chocolate chip cookie has nearly three times as many calories as the other two. That''s a little alarming.0 -
A 3 inch diameter Samoa would be like 2000 calories...0
-
You're right in that it has to be less calories than it's weight in butter....you're sure the cookie weighs less than 1/4 lb?0
-
It's from a pizza place? Is it one of those pizza-sized cookie "dessert pizzas" and you're just not telling us?0
-
Is it a cookie pizza? Like those cookie cakes they sell for birthdays? That's crazy...and scary...step away from the giant cookie!!0

I'm gonna go into business selling these babies to all the 1200-calorie people who can't meet their goals!

It's seriously 3.5 to 4 inches and isn't very heavy at all. Just chocolate chips, no crazy caramel, nuts, butter sauce or bacon.0

It's gotta be incorrect then. Someone somewhere lied to you girl!

I would weigh it and use the default MFP entry for a chocolate chip cookie which will give you the option to enter it in grams or ounces.0 -
Maybe someone actually ate like 8 of them but didn't want to put that on their log so they just entered it as one :P0

Deep fried? :noway:0

Sadly, those numbers are plausible. Out of curiosity, I entered 1pound of salted butter into my diary and MFP says it has 3,255 calories.0

This entire post made me want a cookie.0

So what's the issue? Pass me the milk.0

Hahahahahahaha. Pure awesome.0 -
Chocolate Chunk 900 8g 38g 200mg
Oatmeal Raisin 260 6g 36g 180mg
Peanut Butter 320 7g 31g 250mg
Its CLEARLY a typo... Its 300 calories.0 -

A single cookie does not contain a pound of butter, what is this logic? :laugh:This entire post made me want a cookie.
Same here, but it's not gonna happen0 -
That is crazy but I''m no longer surprised with the amount of calories in any dessert.. especially cookies. I once decided to have 2 cookies with my soup from some sandwich shop... I looked up these little wimpy cookies in MFP- 450 calories each! Thats right! 900 calories right there... my daily allowance was just a few hundred more. Bombed that day.
Either way, desserts can be deceiving. Especially the little baby ones.0 -

8 grams of fat = 72 calories
38 grams of carbs = 152 calories
So unless there is 169 grams of protein in this cookie, you are SERIOUSLY freaking out over a simple typo.0 -
I looked up the nutritional info according to Extreme Pizza's website: http://www.extremepizza.com/menu/nutinfo_others.html
According to their website, 1 serving (1/2 a cookie) is 900 calories with 8g saturated fat, 38 carbs, 200mg sodium....I'm sorry...but WTF? No cookie is worth 1800 calories...and this is why I always look up the nutritional info for every restaurant I go to before I order anything. Scary.0 -
