  • Me too! Maybe we need to do some of those again... It's been rough both in general and then using this site/app. Trying it again, though!
  • If anybody is interested, I'm more than happy to start up a challenge for October. :D
  • Hey Eastern NC folks. I'm holding off on a July challenge to hopefully figure a way to revitalize our challenges in August. We've seen a bit of a fizzle (from my included).
  • Our June challenge is up! My personal goal is 50 miles, but I'm not sure if that is too low, too high, or just right. I guess we'll see! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0At9htxmVTz3DdENoc1k3ODA1WFZHRTFIRzE4TktLMlE#gid=0
  • I think we can safely say that Stayce and Julia killed this month's challenge... I did not so much... I think for June, we'll go with a "I would walk 500 miles" challenge! We can translate steps into almost anything, including biking and swimming with a step calculator online. This may help for Keith and myself to get back…
  • Welcome, Ashley! Now that you know the "lay of the land", you'll be able to knock this one out of the park! Congrats on your bouncing baby boy! :D
  • I am utterly FAILING at this month's challenge! I keep trying to remember to do these reps and then WHOOSH!... what was I trying to remember? Hah. Gotta get on board!
  • I think that if you're looking for the "right" guy, he won't be superficial like the guys that you're talking about. Unfortunately, even the guy who seems the nicest on the outside can ultimately wind up being that way. That being said, there does have to be a spark of physical attraction as well, I believe, in order for…
  • Welcome, Sara! I love your neck of the woods! There's so much to do in Wilmington! I never used this site at all until just before the new year even though my wife had done Weight Watchers and what-not. If possible, maybe make it a habit to use your cell to track your food if you have a smartphone. Without that, there's no…
  • Hey Brian! Way to make that positive change! Welcome to the group! I won't talk politics with you, but I'll talk a bit of SciFi (or SyFy, depending on the day ;-))!
  • Me too! I haven't been able to get into the last 2 days because we were building a chicken run and coop. Now I'm too sore to do anything. Hah. With all the wood we brought in, I could call these "Planks", no? ;-)
  • Whoops! Forgot to make the new sheet shared. It's all set now! :)
  • Ok, the May challenge is up! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0At9htxmVTz3DdGZBR3VYUlR4aVJFWWdVSENCV2J2bXc&usp=sharing Simply put in what you're working in reps and the sheet will count for us! Set yourself a personal goal! Mine is to complete the Plank Challenge and figure out a squats challenge. :-D
  • Welcome Jessica! Congrats on the loss already! Hopefully that knee won't keep you down for long. :-D
  • Julia - In honor of you, I'm thinking... A reps based challenge! :-D (Why did that feel like an "Iron Chef" secret ingredient moment?)
  • You Ladies are kicking my butt in this challenge! Way to go! Our current rundown is: Julia Katherine Stayce Me Crystal I'm going to take the #3 spot if Stayce doesn't see me tip toeing up! :-D
  • Heya Jenny! (Nice song reference!) Great job already on your weight loss and it seems like you guys have a pretty solid plan going forward! Thanks for joining us!
  • I'm looking at the end of the year for a 10k, 15k and half marathon 3 race series in Wilmington. :) http://www.5starraceproductions.com/races/three-race-series
  • Here we go! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AndIdK7-km2hdER0eW1mWFRqaG1ZdFVKNmswNVEwbGc&usp=sharing There is a spot for you to put your initial weight and your current weight if you'd like. If not, you can put only your weight lost, but you don't even need that much if you don't want to put it in. Simply put…
  • Our challenge for April is.... 90 minutes per week! What we're shooting for is 30 minutes, 3 times a week (or 45 twice, however it works best for you). We can also track a starting weight and end weight (or just a "I lost this much weight" if you don't want to put your actual weight on here). So if we get our normal…
  • I was bouncing in the same few pounds for a while. I changed from "lose 1 lb per week" to "lose 1.5 lbs per week". It wasn't a big change and if it even JUST allows me to lose 1 per week, it may have been what my body needed, since it's been responding to it.
  • Who made 30 lbs?? WE made 30 lbs!! Great job everyone! We still have another week in the month! How low can we go and how high can our tally climb??
  • Thanks for updating! We're getting close! Push push push! :-D I'm thinking a "minutes exercised" for April. Since the minimum goal is 30 minutes 3 times a week, we could easily get over 6 hours into April! :-D
  • I think not! Congrats on that and "Off with your head!"
  • 17.8 lbs to go to meet our goal, Team! We still have 13 days! We can do this! :)
  • Good job! I dislike that aspect of the app, too. :)
  • Welcome, Charles! Sounds like you have great motivation for being more healthy! My youngest 2 (boys) are GO GO GO!, but my daughter has started to get more into Tween zone (she's 11 1/2), so showing THEM that you "can't stop, won't stop" should help them be motivated to never slow down (I hope!)
  • Congrats, Krystal! And welcome to the group! The first step was a huge success towards your future successes!
  • Me too! I've dropped 2 lbs so far this month. We're getting there!
  • Wow! Huge kudos! Hopefully I'll follow in your footsteps soon! :-D And you're welcome! :)
