lol.....yeah I like the idea of giving haters a real reason to hate! Thank you!

"Stop eating junk food, that's the problem." that helps no one. If it was that simple, none of us would be here reading any of this. Logging your food prior to beginning your day IS very helpful and makes it easier to stick to it. It requires a lot of work up front but does make it easier to follow through. We have all…

If I ate 1799 calories a day, I would gain weight at an alarming rate. That's me. I fall into the category of ANY WOMAN and I need to eat less than 1800 calories a day to lose weight. Sad, but true.

amen sister! I am 133 and still wear some 10's, some 8's but a 2/4?? umm no

I started out @ 158 with a goal of 129. Got to a not seen in a long time 123 (in 10 months) but have bounced back to 133. I like the original goal of 129 and am gonna aim to stay there. It works for me, but may not work for everybody. Best of luck.

It is discouraging to see that first big chunk of weight lost, then have it slow down, but it is so much better to go slow and steady. The same way the weight went on is the same way the weight should come off. I have hit plateaus that lasted for several weeks (sometimes even months), but I kept on plugging along, eating…

this! and it is so much harder the 2nd go round. Clean, confusing but Confident. Eat clean foods, confuse your body and be confident!

You will not want to hear this but you are not eating enough. You should NOT lower it to 800 calories a day. When my scale gets stuck I up my calories to as much as 2000 a day (and I'm pretty small), then after a few days, reign it back in to 1200-1300 and more weight starts to fall off. I will throw in a few 1000 calorie…

they may be high in sodium but with some planning they can be the difference in success or frustration. That was the case for me anyway. And it helps so much to teach your body and your mind PORTION CONTROL. I still have a few a week but eating them in the beginning was such a wonderful kick start to motivation and…

for me, popcorn is one of those "good" snacks. I buy the multigrain microwave packs and it is satisying and yummy. Even the full fat and gushy SUPER yummy stuff at the movie theaters has never caused me any problems. French fries, however, are another story entirely!

I hear it alot too and am convinced it's mostly jealousy and negativity. I am still over 20 pounds heavier than the low end of the BMI and even if I was too skinny, who has a right to say that to me? No one. Well, MAYBE someone who honestly loves me and cares about me, but this is certainly not that. Haters be hating. I…

thanks Kitty!...it was tough, especially the 3rd day so sometimes I only made it one day! It is hard to get proper nutrition at those amounts too but it was a perfect kick start for me

I totally agree with this and have used it with success!

awesome awesome awesome! Such an inspiration and you look absolutely amazing!!! Congrats!

I would love to join. I am 46, 5'4" mother of 2 grown sons and could use the motivation and accountability! Starting weight: 154 Current weight: 132 Goal weight: 129 (lower if possible!)

yep, use it as motivation! when I took this first picture of myself I wanted to crawl in a hole and cry. BUT THEN, I worked hard, I believed it would happen and I took the second picture. I, too, wish I had more pictures of myself at my heaviest to motiviate me to STAY where I'm at now.....Use it to your advantage, the…

same here...but I have to say there are surely worse things to be addicted to! I promote the site so much I'm convinced people think I'm getting paid to do it. But it's just that awesome and has changed my life!

I'm doing the exact same thing....good to know I'm not alone in that! i do feel its a fear of gaining weight back if you stop trying to lose it. We are so silly like that aren't we?

The definition of this section is MOTIVATION & SUPPORT. We need to encourage and uplift one another whenever we can. I was in almost the EXACT same position as you find yourself now. I weighed 158 and had a goal of 135. I had tried and failed multiple times and I looked at success stories and although somewhat encouraged,…

absolutely....that "weird little trick" works well! It is hard for our minds to comprehend that but it still works in spite of us...lol. Congrats!

I am 5'4" and it took me about 5 months to lose 20 pounds

When I began with MFP in December, I weighed almost 160 pounds. I am 46 years old, 5'4" and currently 133. I had set a goal of 139, then 134 and now I, too, am aiming for 125. It may be too lofty but I am just so loving having the extra weight off me. I am small framed and I know its not about that number on the scale, but…

good information!

I just got back from a 7 day cruise and did alright by trying to eat "clean, whole" foods and staying very very active. I also realized how very good the food was and that it was just as good having a smaller amount. There was food everywhere all the time!!!! I did over indulge, but the next day would back off and walk…

MFP makes it easy to count and manage calories and I hardly ever feel hungry or deprived. I havent had 5 days out of the last 12 weeks where I ate more than 1300 calories either. It's not always the healthiest food, but most of the time it is and ALL of the time I like what I am eating. Best of all it's free and it really…
