Frustrated & Defeated but not giving up....

I sit here another December needing to drop some weight and can't believe that I don't have better control of this. 2 years ago, almost to the day, I made up my mind that with My Fitness Pal, I WOULD FINALLY LOSE the extra weight. I was motivated by a wedding and family cruise and I did it. I logged faithfully & honestly, exercised regularly with variety & lost 20 pounds in 6 months. I continued losing after the cruise then had a family matter that caused such distress I could not eat much at all and lost an additional 10 pounds. That was unhealthy and unintentional and I knew it would not last once I bounced back from the emotional wreckage that was caused. Starting this past summer I noticed more than the 10 pounds creeping back on so tried to reign it back in with no success. I am now still about 8 pounds down but so not where I want to me. All the new clothes I bought are not fitting and I feel sluggish and unhealthy and DEFEATED. I feel like people are saying Yep, another yo yo dieter who couldn't stick with it. Oddly enough, some people are nicer to me the more weight I carry and seemed very envious when I was losing so successfully (haters). But I will prevail. I am starting again and I do believe MFP is the best thing out there to keep track of food & exercise. I would love to hear from you if you have a similar story and we could possibly offer each other encouragement.

I'm not in your situation, so can't offer any words of wisdom here, just know that its not time to roll over and accept defeat! You have kept most of your weight off despite serious hardships along the way! You need to make time to take care of yourself, and get back on track! You've done it once, you can do it again! Give your haters a reason to hate ;)
  • lol.....yeah I like the idea of giving haters a real reason to hate! Thank you!
