Since yall keep saying it was the shorts and NOT me, here are some options. Are either of these better/more flattering??
-
Where do you buy your shorts? I can't find any in store that will fit my waist AND my thighs, so I typically end up cutting my own. PS - so crotchet shorts, yes or no??
-
OK, everyone, thanks! I probably would be more comfortable in a dress or skirt, but thats what I always wear so I was trying to branch out. And I will definitely not wear these shorts haha.

Every day! haha but I keep mine set at 1200, because then I normally eat 1500. When I tried it at 1500, I would eat 1800.

Parenthood!! I'm so hooked right now

@peanutbutter pretty! 9

I have considered joining a gym many times, but my thing is that I enjoy exercising outside! I would rather walk or jog in the fresh air by the lake rather than run on a treadmill. I also have a work out video that I love. But on the flip side, I do competitive cheerleading, so I have to pay for "gym" use for practices.…

@Chiclets13 your profile pic in the pink dress is so gorgeous! :) but the one of you and i think your hunny is adorable too.

I'm quoting this because I feel this is super valuable for some people here to read. While sometimes photos can be a good motivation (OMG, since when does my face look that chubby?) it is NO reason to bash yourselves. If you feel like you look great and are feeling confident, thats how others ARE going to perceive you. The…

well I love it! I rarely listen to anything but country music... and unless it's a super catchy song I can't name anyone else on the top 40. I listen to both the oldies and the new country music, and I love them both. But I also enjoy going to the honky tonk and two-steppin on the weekends.... :)

Personally, I "cheat" ALL the time! lol Just this sunday, I ate a burger with fries AND a twix candy... and I still weighed in half a pound less on monday morning. :) lol I try to eat less during the day when I know I am going out at night and I just eat smaller portions of everything in general. A lot of times when I got…

my beau of 2 years typically tries to pay for all our dates still. Occasionally, I like to take him out, or will buy tickets for something I want to do, but the norm for us is that he pays. I don't think we have ever split it 50/50.

Around where I live, as long as you're going less than 10 over it's not speeding ;) lol But really, I understand your point! I just think that it's borderline crazy/almost funny that according to it, in 2 pounds I'll magically be healthy! I see so much controversy on theses boards about whether or not BMI is accurate, but…

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years. When we first met, he was an offensive linebacker and powerlifting and I was 10 pounds up from my skinniest weight ever after a stomach parasite. Well, we both gained a lot of happy weight. :) lol (Me - 20 pounds, him - 40 pounds!) And although we aren't sexually active,…

well I guess my guess will be 36 :p lol

I am using one of those body fat calculators that someone posted, and I need help! When I stick in my measurements, for my "Hips (at widest)" I plug in the measurement that goes right around my booty, and then it classifies me as obese. However, out of curiosity, I used my hip measurement that is a little higher up (like…

18! It would be awesome to have people in my own age group to support!

Yes.. i live in Texas.. I can think of like 5 gyms at least within 30 minutes of me that are all dedicated to competitive cheerleading.. and thats not including all the schools! Its big down here. Its a good work out though! This will be my 7th year, and although I sadly never got into tumbling and gymnastics, I have…

That was me! The web MD calculator asks for more than just height and weight. So when I plugged in the other factors, I came in as upper edge of healthy, instead of lower end of overweight. I think i have slightly more muscle than the average woman of my weight because I do competitive cheerleading, which is for the change…

hey, I have that swim suit! I hope i can rock it as well as you do! :)

Really? Huh. When I was looking at it, I thought I saw that the pants sizes went down to 0. (They were in misses sizes versus waist sizes.)

http://www.webmd.com/diet/calc-bmi-plus If anyone is interested, this BMI caculator takes more into account that just height and weight. According to this BMI calculator, I am at the high end of healthy instead of overweight like other ones tell me.

EXACTLY! I find it frustrating because I don't know if I haven't made progress or I'm around too catty of people to say anything! Good luck!!! You are doing great, so stay motivated! I have a little less than 7 weeks until I leave, and I am hoping to lose 8 pounds and ton up! I think you can reach your goal too!

Just curious, what are your measurements? I consider myself an "almost" hourglass and I am 38-29-38. Almost ALL of my extra weight goes to my thighs, but not as much to my midsection.
-
According to my BMI, I have ALWAYS been overweight... Even when I was unpleasantly thin from a stomach parasite. My body may have been a slender size 4, but I could not keep anything down for 3, almost 4 months. About a year after my stomach parasite, I had gained 10 pounds, and was a comfortable size 6, whose BMI was…

Last time I measured 2 weeks ago, my measurements were 38-30-39. At the moment I weigh 167 and I am 5'6.
-
I'm not sure 36-24-36 is a true ideal. That is an extreme hourglass figure, which isn't even achievable for some people due to their genetic. There are calculators online in order to find out what your waist to hip ratio should be.

How much water are you drinking? I have more or less been eating about 1200 for the past 3 weeks, and around week 2 I felt extremely bloated. I upped how much water I was drinking, and immediatly felt better and also lost water weight.

I actually wondered the same thing for a while! I used to be on BC for my out of control periods, but I stopped taking mine in December 2012 after the pharmacy would not give me the right kind (aka the kind I was prescribed!) I got my first period off of BC in the first week of January, which is also when I started…

I weigh myself every Monday as my "official" weigh in. I also try to weigh in every other day or so in order to make sure I am staying on track. I never have big changes in the scale this way, but I almost always go down a few ounces consistently. This also helps me to stay in tune with my body! If I go up a few ounces or…
