Veggie quesadillas tonight!

Yeah... I pretty much ignore anything that Dr. Oz (or any TV doctor) says.

I think my biggest problems right now are: - the fact that I never really know when my bf is going to bring home beer, and I'll drink one without thinking about how it fits into my calories. - the fact that I have a broken foot and no pool access. The doc also recommended that I don't use a stationary bike bc it puts…

This. I was on anti-anxiety pills for a while and hated them, so I cut back in the same way I began taking them. You should take half a pill every day for a week or two, then half a pill every other day for a week, and then you can increase the days between until you feel fine going without it.

Gross, no way. Have you ever been in a car accident?

If you're worried about the hormones in Mirena, you can get the Paragard. It's a copper, hormone-free IUD.
-
Weight gain is a side effect of any birth control. I'm currently on the Nuva Ring because it's a lower dose of hormones (although they're slightly different from the hormones used in other BCs), and the dosage stays consistent throughout the 3 weeks I have it in. I've been on ortho tri-cyclen lo, ortho tri-cyclen, ortho…

Every Tuesday morning after I pee and before I eat or drink anything. I like to take my measurements, too. One day, I'll make graphs with the data. :) I already think I'll be able to detect a pattern in my weight fluctuations, but that hypothesis has yet to be supported.

cmiller, you've got a pretty face. You've got a unique bone structure. :)

Wine. I don't even enter the calories because I don't need to know that after a couple glasses, I'm over. It's too damn good.

I'm pretty sure your husband won't mind, if he even notices. A couple inches' difference shouldn't make him want you or love you any less. You're probably getting laid after his return regardless of how big your booty is.

I love learning.. about anything, really. I do research on random topics. I enjoy reading fantasy novels. (Currently on Book 4 of the Wheel of Time series..) I'm a big fan of movies that have anything to do with Marvel Comics, especially X-Men. A friend tried to teach me Magic (the card game) in 30 minutes, and after that…

I agree with everyone who says that he has to really want to make a change before you can expect him to do anything. I think you're a good girlfriend. You care, and you're letting him know. The next step has to be his.

I think it really depends on where you go. If I go to a townie bar, I get some looks, but nobody hits on me. However, when I went out to an actual club 3 weeks ago with a friend, there was a guy or two at every place that tried to get up in my business (for lack of a better term). I was dressed decently, too, with a tank…

I used to be on OKCupid. I ended up meeting my boyfriend at a local event in town, but it would be entertaining if MFP had quizzes and things similar to OKC. What if people could be matched online to be fitness buddies, based on physical similarities and similar goals?! That would be damn cool.

If I'm on a treadmill, I prefer to look at everything in front of me and watch people. It's kind of entertaining. If I had to listen to anything, I think I'd listen to NPR. It seems like a good way to stay up to date on current (important) news.

Phobia - n. An unreasonable fear. A lot of people here are posting very reasonable fears (i.e. - being hit by a train, drowning, being stabbed, bee stings..) I know a guy with a fear of fish.

I once bought tampons and hot sauce at WalMart... Here are some ideas, though: - a bike, duct tape, and car tires - acetone, hydrogen peroxide, and hydrochloric acid - water balloons and 3 gallons of milk - diapers, and copious amounts of wine - a treadmill and beer (gotta train for the beer mile - there's now a sub-5…

A tablespoon is about the size of 4 quarters stacked on top of each other. :) I hope that helps, for when the measuring spoons are dirty.

Also, if there's a certain brand/model that you currently use and really like, just look for that online and in various store catalogs. The older models are often much cheaper. I got a pair of Asics trail shoes for $15 a couple years ago simply because they were so old.
-
I love Asics, and I've heard a lot of good stuff about Brooks, but never used them. I'm a big fan of New Balance shoes; they were my first brand, and the brand that I've had the last two times. NEVER buy Adidas running shoes; I and others have found them to be a bit too heavy or flat.

Nah, I layered.

... What she said.

Yeah, I'd say bump your speed up to 3.5. It may help to lower the incline a bit at that speed. I've got a running routine that I like to do, which involves gradually increasing the incline at one speed, but alternating that with a flat incline and gradually increasing the speed. Does that make sense? For example - walk…

You can add me, too! I'm also 26 and now have no choice but to try harder at counting calories since I can't exercise much with a broken foot. I could use some accountability.
