Had a LOL attack!!

LOL! This is pretty common in our city since we have a ban on washing cars because of drought. Lots of squeegie spot checks. But my hubby took it to the extreme once. He was riding his motorcycle across country and used the squeegie to scrub the bugs off his leather coat. :-)

Definitely not sabotage. You would have to prove intent. So at best, aggravated dietslaughter.

Congratulations Paul!!! You did amazing!!!

Yeah it weirds me out to have my diary open. And I feel weird looking at other people's food diaries. But sometimes I look and if they has some delish noms in there I comment "I want to eat that."

Not only have you made such an incredible success you tell it very well with pictures!! I will smile all day!!

Oh man! I once accidentally got a red shirt in with the whites. It wasn't so bad for me to wear pink undies. But my hubby has to change at work sometimes. If your husband feels as bad as I did I bet he will chauffeur you to goodwill and carry your purse while you browse!

That "Really wanting to" is the beginning. When I feel like indulging I always think long term. What do I really want long term? What I really want is to be healthy and fit. Also, there are different opinions and different things that work for other people. But for me the psychology of earning a treat has been working for…

The tough love is another approach. It clearly was more than she could handle in this case. When we make mistakes its easier to apologize, move on and learn from an experience when people take care in how we point out those mistakes in the first place. I haven't always had this approach. But it works for me.

You can still foster a sense of personal responsibility by first acknowledging that she is upset and helping a person understand why they are upset and ultimately trying to help them see how to view it from the perspective of these other moms. I won't carry anyone here. You are right, she needs to do this for herself. But…

The Barbie Mom thing...agreed. I really try hard not to return judgement with more judgement. I am aware that people tell me I treat people with kid gloves. But she appeared to be in a vulnerable place and I would rather treat a person gently if that means that my support keeps them motivated to keep working at their…

Projecting? I didn't think so. Trying to put myself in that situation and imagine how she might feel, yeah. Once you figure out how that person feels then you can help them figure out how another person might feel at being called a "barbie mom". Just because you try to be sympathetic doesn't mean you have to have had the…

R2D2 is very excited right now.

I was so sad to see she deactivated. She was embarrassed. Everyone wants to fit in somewhere and this was one of those awkward "I didnt realize that I wasnt going to fit in here" moments. And I agree when I finally decided to really do this I started realizing that situations like that dont embarass me as much as they used…

This is a common feeling. You are the one that benefits from your efforts and you feel like you let yourself down. So lets think about it this way... If someone else disappoints you and you love that person, you forgive them. As long as its not too outrageous of a disappointment, you can forgive them when they ask. And…

I get what you are saying. The store is entitled to have any specialty it wants and cater to any subgroup it cares to. But the point is that they don't advertise that and she had been shopping there all along. So the point is more of embarrassment. He essentially was saying that she was too fat for his demographic and she…

Just realizes all the comic con possibilities...

I agree that a picture of the user is more personal. But my current image is a sign of support for a friend here on MFP. It is to honor their struggle and to remind them to make the lawls. Its all about the lawls.

I want to rock a pair of yoga pants! I would however like to establish an intermediate goal of just feeling a little more comfortable being in public in exercise clothes in general.
-
Totally agreed on both counts!! :-D

The Terror at Blood Fart Lake That sounds seriously entertaining.

And bad, bad, so bad its awesome...Manos the Hands of Fate (Its an MST3K and I don't know if you can find it as a stand alone). I promise you will want to overstuff the legs of your pants and go as Torgo for Halloween.
-
You look fantastic!!! And happier too!! :-D Thanks for sharing your success!
-
Thank you for calling attention to that. I did however make a point that it is not invalidated and that is simply that in order to be active we need comfortable active wear for any size.

If you say thiis is truly about health related issues then... Overweight (not obese) live longer than thin people... http://jama.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=1555137 You dont necessarily have to fit this ideal lean body type to be healthy and live a long life. In fact moderate exercise can improve all over health…

Maybe we shouldn't assume that there are heads to begin with. A lot of people report difficulty losing those last 10lbs. The human head is about that...just sayin.

Yes of course you survive unless you press 1 for more options.
