Hi all, When it comes to a flat stomach (for the ladies) or ripped abs (for the men), it is entirely down to the body fat levels. Core exercises and crunches (and variants) are great for building strength and increasing the mass of the abdominal muscles, but any progress made is hidden behind the layer of fat. I've known…

Yeah, I used to do it a lot. Lost 20lbs and now I'm bored of talking about it and everyone is bored of hearing about it. I was a boring chap in the earlier days. Edit: Boring, but handsome.

Losing weight is easy if you do this: Eat less than you did before and exercise more than before.

Very impressive.

Nice job. There's a big difference. Don't they do tokens for achieving goals at drug and alcohol rehabilitation? Seems like a good idea, but there's something a bit odd (disturbing), about rewarding weight loss in a similar way. Funny how in Somalia people are starving to death, yet in the west we get little medals for…

That's tough. 3lbs? Damn. No wonder you're feeling blue. Working your *kitten* off and the scales aren't telling you what you deserve to hear. Wait. What's this? Overall weight and body fat aren't quite the same thing? Your weight fluctuates on the scale. If you're doing everything right, then it's not a fat gain. I don't…

Like the two other people said, it's impossible to lose fat in any specific area. You can only lose fat proportionally over your entire body. Your abdominal conditioning regime has absolutely nothing to do with 'love handles'. No amount of core training, crunches or any of that will have any impact whatsoever. Love handles…

Have you heard of Harriet Harman? She'd agree with you on that one.

Buy a scale. Weigh yourself once a week and enjoy the motivational benefits that progress brings. Your husband is wrong.

For me it was a similar story, and it's an issue that I feel can be applied to many problems. Perhaps the best example is a drug addict overcoming addiction. They may want to stop, but yet a lot of the time they will try and fail. They'll try again and they may fail again. But one day they'll reach a point so low, it will…

Nobody is as perfect as Dskwon.

Lose weight. Not "loose".

You mean "are" instead. "Are there any brits".
