Hi all, im wondering if any of you Aussies are from UK, im at the beginning of starting my visa process, and would love to hear your experiences and stories of your journey,

    I'm Aussie but my boyfriend is Norwegian so well rehearsed in the visa scenario :)

    Not sure if Brits have different visas with the commonwealth etc like we do if we go over but my partner is currently on a student visa and will go for another when that ends. Have you had a look on the immigration website? or there are people out there that specialise in visas..

    There is quite a large British community here on the Gold Coast and I know a lot of them have gone back to Britain for various reasons, apparently it didn't work out for them. Sorry hope that didn't dampen your enthusiasm, I think perhaps expectations and perceptions of a new life here in Aus don't always add up.

    my husband in australian,we're going out there to be with his family, and yes it worries me that i *fit in* and hope it works out for us
