  • 15 minutes was a great start, probably needs to be a weekly task :)
  • Don't forget to add those 800+ calories a day to whatever your RMR is (the calories your body would burn if you stayed in bed all day long). Good luck, I'm currently trying to figure out my TDEE as well!
  • Done, thank you!
  • Despite piling on the calorie my weight has been staying in the same range, even trending somewhat down! So crazy, I wouldn't believe it if I weren't seeing it myself. So I do have a question, what would your advice be to help with as accurate as possible tracking when you're away from home? I have a week long summer camp…
  • I love that I can do them quickly at work, thanks!
  • done :)
  • Loved this!
  • Thanks @saranharm for sharing, this thread has some really great advice in it for those of us who are new to the journey! I especially love all this advice about finding TDEE because I am definitely still trying to figure mine out. I just started using the scale to help, but am using trendweight.com to help me to not read…
  • Wow thanks so much for the feedback! Everything you guys have said, plus that article really help; I love the sense of community. Last night I continued to read more EM2WL articles and threads here. I can't believe how clear everything seems right now, like a veil has finally been lifted! I am expecting the doubts and…
  • I totally feel your pain! I have only been logging consistently for 3 weeks now, but have attempted EM2WL off and on for a few months now. My weight has been in the same 10 lb range for a year and I just want it to budge (aka go down). I see pictures and actually get discouraged because I don't see any progress yet. I…
  • I'm just getting back to logging and attempting to lose this weight, but I'd love the support! My handle is woods8705
  • As a NICU nurse it doesn't seem to be as large of an issue and there is less pressure to lose weight, so I am able to focus on doing it for myself. When I worked in the adult ICU, though, I felt pressure for two reasons. One, I felt like a hypocrite when I would tell patients how they needed to make diet related changes…
  • Things are good, thanks @retirehappy ! I'm back to eating at TDEE with deficit and my activity level is back up. I know that it's not all about the scale, and I'm learning not to focus on it so much, but I lost another pound this week which feels great. I'm so happy I found this group of supportive people :)
  • Thanks @heybales that helps! It wasn't ideal getting sick while I'm still very much learning this process (is it ever really ideal?) but I'm grateful for this group and these forums to keep me on track.
  • Haha thanks @retirehappy Today I calculated my TDEE with the lower activity level (went to work, but still slept much more than usual) and ate that without cut. In the morning I felt stuffed and like I'd have trouble eating it all, but by the end of the day my hunger was back and it brought with it some much needed energy!…
  • I would love to give this a try as well, but running is so not my forte!
  • I am also going to be a bridesmaid sometime in late summer/early fall (bride hopefully is confirming date and venue this week) and the first dress fitting is Feb 9th! I'm afraid of the pictures and afraid of worrying the whole wedding about how I look. I want to feel beautiful and cherish the pictures of my friend's…
  • I've only been using MFP for about 2 weeks so I am by no means an expert, but here's what I'm doing. I am an RN so I am on my feet at work a lot, but I have been an RN for 3 years and the weight hasn't come off. I decided that just work alone is my normal, it's what my body is used to so I don't count it and I put my…
  • I put spinach and kale in the smoothies and if you freeze it first it lasts longer and gets rid of the sometimes bitter aftertaste that the kale gives you. You have to get over the color, but honestly can't taste them over the fruit and it's so much healthier!
