Darnit! I was out of town on business and not keeping up with the forum and missed the post! I had been so eager to apply after I missed out on joining your previous project. Bummer! Well, good luck to you and all your invitees for this project. :) Can I apply ahead of time, for your next one. Or, if some folks drop out of…

I've lost about a small bale of hay. :D <stamps ground and whinnies>

But...ummm...I could have sworn he was a man. LOL

I'm 12 pounds from my original goal of 125 pounds, weighing in at 137 pounds at the moment. However, if my body keeps changing so much for the better, with the heavy lifting I'm doing, I may rethink that goal for a heavier weight, but just more lean body mass gained from lifting. :) I am 5'5" Size 6 (US) pants very…

I am 55-years old and I am now weighing in at 137 pounds at 5'5" and wearing size 6 (US) pants very comfortably. It looks like I'll have to begin shopping Goodwill for smaller sizes in the near future. I have never weighed so much and wore such a small pant size before, in my life...not that I can remember. In the past,…

Ha ha ha! Love this!

Bananas often get red or blue taped, when they are getting too ripe, and are substantially cheaper then. I only eat organically grown bananas, which I don't see taped for clearance very often, but when I do, I buy them all, take them home, peel them, and freeze them in zip lock bags, to be made into shakes and smoothies…

Ha ha! Me too! :D

This is pretty much in keeping with my philosophy.

I've shrunk out of my bras! I was wearing 38 Cs and now I'm needing 34 Cs. ...If I keep going this way, it will likely change to Bs. I don't want to buy new ones, like the OP, because I am still 13 pounds from my goal and will likely shrink more. LOL So far, everything at Goodwill has been too large or too small.

I wonder, if you'd gone the route of bariatric surgery, how many calories you'd be likely to take in each day. In Google search results, I'm seeing between 300 per day and no more than 1,100 per day. This seems to indicate that your goal daily intakes are fairly similar to, and maybe even more than, what they would have…

This ^ I preferred water *before* I started keeping a food/water/exercise diary here. Most of my liquid intake is actually just water anyway. I don't count my coffee, smoothies, or shakes as water, but I do count any herbal tea I drink. I pretty much just drink when I am thirsty or need to take vitamins or something like…

I weigh each morning too, like you, after I pee and before my morning cup of coffee. I like begin aware of the normal fluctuations caused by water retention, weight training, sodium intake, etc...

I don't. I only count water or herbal tea as water. I don't count coffee, smoothies, or shakes.

Bump! Don't have time to reply right now, but this is a subject of great interest to me. I use unrefined, organic, extra virgin, cold pressed oil for EVERYTHING! Just a quick link with information about why coconut oil is so wonderful. http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/article10612.htm

This is a very good and very simple explanation. :)

Of course, but a pound of bricks takes up a different amount of space than a pound of flour. A pound of fat is going to be a lot larger than a pound of muscle is.

Yes, this is a great topic. :)

NO! Just NO! :D

I know that I get much better results, both in terms of losing weight/gaining strength, and in terms of my vitality and general health, when I eat with healthy foods as my priority. These are the results of my own research using my body as my lab. :) I don't function well when I am not eating with best health in mind. I…

I just started loading creatine a couple of days ago. I weighed in a pound heavier this morning, so I'm thinking that it is my muscles retaining water. I'm interested to see how it affects my strength gains and body fat losses. My personal trainer recommended it.

This is the more relaxed attitude I have about my daily intake too.

You look fabulous! Really very handsome. Great job!

Your weights/sizes about correspond with what mine were as I have been losing weight. I was bulging out of 16s at about 185 pounds, wearing size 14s when I was in the low 170s, and 12s when I was in the lower to mid 150s, wearing 10s from the mid to high 140s.

5' 5" in height. Just weighed in at 141 this morning. I've been wearing size 8s (US) comfortably. I can put on size 6s, but they are still too snug for my tastes. :D

Pleasant appearance. Looks like a nice guy. :)

'Bout a million condiments...schmuender. :D Also, lots of veggies, lettuce from my garden, freshly picked and washed last night, grapefruits, various berries, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, Organic Valley grass fed sharp cheddar (Mmmmm!), unsweetened almond milk, leftovers from last night's opened can of cat food (Not for…

Me too! :D I keep mine set for "Sedentary" as well, because I don't have consistency in my regular (non-intentional exercise) activities. I then log extra strenuous efforts, such as big job cleaning tasks or gardening/yard work tasks. I don't add normal, everyday cleaning and chores, like washing dishes, making my bed,…

Because silica is carcinogenic when breathed. I'm not thinking I'll be eating any of it any time soon.
