Omg your story and photos made me cry. Wow you have worked so hard. Congrats!

Same, except mine followed a car accident and lasted two years. Back again and loving it!

This is awesome to! lol short and sweet.

I would agree with those who say don't discuss it but if you are around nosy, controlling people(much like my family) and it does come up keep it simple, or even shorten it.... "I am working hard to improve my health and am very committed to it... appreciate you supporting me." There is nothing open for discussion and the…

This! Wow people can be nasty. As another person who once weighed over 300 lbs you say to yourself whatever you need to to get the weight off and get healthy. Although I didn't follow that mantra, I did have my own version of it....."Nothing Tastes as Good As Healthy Feels". This usually applied to junk foods with…

Coming to MFP was triggered by a stall in weight loss and a suggestion on another forum. I'd already lost at least 50 before coming here. My last straw before the journey started was randomly getting on a scale at my parents house, it read 315 lbs and I instantly knew the next stop (400 lbs) was inevitable. It immediately…

My pick, forever and always. They broke the mold. I was always smitten with him right from WWF(E) days, then he said one day on a talk show he liked to bake cookies and I fell in love lol.

I haven't read through all the posts but this sounds like adaptation to me. Change things up, have one very high calorie day, then a low one with increased activity. Keep changing things up until it starts to work. You may see a small spike but it will start to move again. If you do anything too long your body figures it…

Think i'd like to get on this! Not exactly sure what it is but heard wicked things about it :)
-
I don't think so, the most successful people on any site or forum I've seen are the most helpful because they've been there.

<<< 1200 cals per day person, yes it was set by MFP. It's working now, I sometimes go over but most days feel satisfied. I workout so technically I can have more if it's not enough or just enjoy the effects of the deficit. I do it till it's stops working then I'll change it. People will mock you for whatever they can and…

I'm up for a new friend as well, anyone who wants to can add me. I'd love to lose 40-50 by July and be nearly at goal after SO much time. Started out at 310, took 80 lbs off then gained back some after surgery, now I'm 233 Personally I found at tough at 20 and only somewhat more so at 40. The hard part about doing it at 40…

Like you, cutting out coffee or drinking it straight up is not an option! I chose to drop 18% cream for half and half the last time I did a big push and still lost 80lbs having coffee the way I like it. I cut back on coffee but never cut it out.:drinker: I'd suggest nothing light as they just replace the fat with sugar so…
