In September 2011, my brother-in-law was badly injured at the Reno Air Races when one of the planes crashed into the crowd. He was in a coma for 6 weeks, and once he began to come out of the coma, he struggled hugely in trying to do even the simplest things, like sitting up on his own. As I watched him work so hard, I…

I've been using the Fitbit for a few months now. There are a number of things I like about it (it's very easy to sync with your computer and mobile device), but there are some things that frustrate me. It's not any help at all on strength training or any non-walking/non-running exercise. It also has to be charged up every…

No before photos -- like others, I was too ashamed of how I looked and felt when I started this joury. But, almost 25 lbs down after re-committing to my health at the end of June 2013. My stats: Age: 55 Height: 5'5" SW 147 GW 125 CW 122.7 New GW 120 Now, for the hard part -- keeping this weight off. I've yo-yo'd all my…

Love this post. I've been working on trying to do a pull-up for two years now. I'm close, very close, but it's taking frustratingly long to get there. Happy to see someone else with the same goal who has managed to accomplish it. Many congrats!

I'm 5'5" and started MFP at 147. My original goal weight was 125 and I've since adjusted it to 120. I tend to carry my weight around my hips and thighs and that extra 5 lbs needs to go to try and balance out my top and bottom halves! But, I think that your body frame really plays a big part in deciding what weight best…

Awesome results! Many congrats!

Sounds like you lost 120 lbs in fat and another 120 lbs in superficial relationships with the "loss" of the girlfriend! You deserve better -- and glad to see you realize that! Great job!

Fantastic results! Congrats!

Brilliant post -- like others, I needed it today. Thank you.
