  • Thank you so much for posting this. I actually typed Thanksgiving into the search field on purpose. I think it is very helpful. Thanksgiving DAY is not a problem for me, it's the leftovers. I usually have food left over at my house as well. So, in order to combat the leftover issue, I purchased a package of to go…
  • I just bought the Hip Hop Dance Experience for XBox 360 and I love it. I did four routines yesterday and I was sweating profusely. I like the competition. I beat both of my sons and they are 10 and 12.

  • I just printed out a coupon for skinny cow icecream. I'm thinking about giving it a try.
  • I just checked out the site. It's awesome. Thanks!
  • You can take deviled eggs or bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers
  • I agree. Mix it up and try to get at least 8 hours of sleep. Your body needs to complete its daily process.
  • Its a really great workout. You will feel the burn and it will get you sweating. I am having a hard time with the calorie counting aspect. I can't get it to reset so it just adds my calories from the last session to the new one. It may be user error.
  • I looked up the Spartan workout. Is it the same as the 300 workout?
  • Awesome. This story is so familiar to me. Body Pump is such a motivator. I love it!!!
  • It's hard to take a day off for me because I think it will slow my momentum. I do try to do something active on my rest days even if it's not an intense work out session. It makes me feel a little better. I also know that rest is the key! I'm working on getting a consistent 8 hours of sleep.
  • Birdseye Steamers are a favorite of mine. They have varieties with brown rice and veggies mixed together. Sometimes I add meat or blackbeans. You can add a scrambled eggs and soy sauce to give it an asian twist or "taco" seasoned ground turkey for a mexican twist. There is also Slaw and Order, which is Hungry Girl's pasta…
  • I love green bean grilled or baked on a pan in the oven. A little evoo or cooking spray, salt, and pepper. Very simple and delicious.
  • It depends on the individual, the amount of weight you use and effort/exersion. I added calories (331) to MFP based on the calories I burned when I first started. Today I am going to wear my HRM to see how accurate it is.

  • Thanks Ladies. Sometimes I just need to hear it from someone else. I will try measuring in the morning and then again in two weeks. Jessiebug - I just read Making the Cut by Jillian Michaels. How is the slimdown challenge?
  • Try getting 8-9 hours of sleep. For some reason that sets the weight loss gears in motion. It's like fasting without thinking about food. It gives your body enough time to process the food you ate and your muscles time off.
  • what's zigzagging?

  • I like the Body Fortress Whey Protein Powder. I can get it at Walmart for $16-$17 for a 2lb tub. http://www.bodyfortress.com/
  • How many times in history has a group of people followed an evil leader simply based on fear? We do not know if it is over, but I think we have a better chance of it being over now that he is dead. Do you think arresting him was an option?
  • I actually had a cheat weekend last weekend. I started a new more vigorous routine of 2 a days 3 times a week. Set a new goal after your cheat day. I believe as long as you log your food, you are good to go. The food log doesn't lie. Check mine out for last weekend.
  • Welcome to MFP. I know what you mean about the amount of information out there. The Cooking Channel is a great place to start. Hungry Girl comes on the Cooking Channel Every Saturday. She makes low calorie versions of lots of common meals. I have also looked up Dr. Ian Smith's books, Fat Smash, Extreme Fat Smash, & 4 Day…
  • I love this stuff. You can add what you like and its low in carbs too. http://www.hungry-girl.com/show/pasta-la-vista-slaw-and-order-recipe
  • This is a great place to start. Welcome and good luck to you.
  • I have completed Phase 1 and am into my 2nd week of Phase 2. I was under my calorie goal for today, but I feel really full. I ate way too much and I am really tired but I still should have worked out today. I definitely will work out in the morning. I really don't like this feeling. Anyone got ideas to help me stay away…
  • I am new too. I know I could use a little support. Adde me :-)
  • I am roasting a squash medley in the oven to go with my brown rice and corn on the cob. I did have to bake some fish for my family to go with it, but I am content with the veggies. I am munching on a few chickpeas while the food cooks. What's everyone having for dinner tonight?
  • I had oatmeal for breakfast and for lunch I am having brown rice and black beans. Black beans are full of fiber and they taste great. I love them. I also have some grape tomatoes, carrot sticks and a pear to snack on later in the day. After work I will stop by the store and pick up some frozen steamfresh brown rice with…
  • @ Ms. Cyone - The holidays are over and they are still bringing treats to work. I guess that is just life. I brought a pretty good lunch today and plenty of healthy snacks to back me up :-)
  • @ KDHW - The Fat Smash Diet is the plan that Dr. Ian Smith used on Celebrity Fit Club. It's a 90 day plan that consists of 4 phases (Detox, Foundation, Construction, and The Temple). http://www.fatsmashdiet.com/
