Soup..measure how much the soup weighs in the pot ,then subtract weight of empty pot.( Example 10lbs of soup only)convert to ounces (16 oz in a pound) so 16 oz x 10lbs = 160. Pour a ladle of soup in a bowl. Weigh bowl of soup and then subtract weight of empty bowl (10 oz soup only)..divide 160 by 10= 16 servings

Add it to homemade soups too...other than that I dont like it either!

Some people dont log exercise. I do but I still look at my total and I dont pay attention to the daily goal (which has added exercise calories)..thats on the food page at the bottom after you log food..you get the total.

All of the websites are slightly different which can be over whelming..I kept going to all of them and checking every night...just pick a number its not that much of a difference to matter. If one says eat 1700 and the other says 1800 then eat 1750 or stay between 1700 & 1800..dont get over whelmed by it.

This is what I got...BMR-1602 TDEE-2203 ...you should eat 1762 to lose weight. Dont eat exercise calories back because this is already added in. Start with this and you will lose. If you have a day when you are lazy then maybe eat a little less. This is about the same as mine. Be patient...it works. I used…

Can you eat 1200 for the rest of your life? As soon as you eat over you will gain. Do the TDEE - 20%..best way ever to lose and you get to eat more.
-
Dont be scared it works!! AND you get to eat! It is a wonderful way to lose weight and makes sense. I did 1200 for a very long time and ruined my metabolism!!
-
something is not right..you should never eat below your BMR. Either your TDEE or BMR is not right. If your TDEE is 1984 then 1588 is right but the BMR is wrong as 1612. Try scoobysworkshop.com to compare what fat2fit gave you. Give me your weight, height, age and I can help you..also active or not. Allso your age.
-
Never eat below your BMR. Your BMR is what your body needs for your organs to function if did nothing but sleep. scoobysworkshop.com is very helpful with this. I just put myself as lightly active or very active and it will figure it all out for you. If your calorie intake is 2200 then subtract 20% which is 1760 (2200 x .80…

I cut out starving myself...now I eat!!

Sounds like maybe you could have an ulcer or peptic ulcer. Im not sure of course. I have had times like that too since exercising and eating somewhat better. You may not want to let your stomach get completely empty due to the stomach acids when you are hungry. I notice some when I work on abs really hard, when I eat alot…

I did not rest my shin splints. I figured no pain no gain. It was horrible for about 4 weeks!! Not smart to not rest but mine did go away. I have done that two times now and it went away. Sometimes after a cardio session of lots of jumping I feel it a little. I took advil & aleve.
-
Dont feel stupid..I didnt read anything at 1st either and lots of others dont too. I still would`nt have understood if I had of read it. There are people on here that are willing to answer and help so good luck to you!

Its 30-35 mins total...we do 3 to 4 tabatas. When we use weights I do push myself. Thats why I like this class so I will push as hard as I can. My heart rate is usually 170 and has been higher. Sometimes our warm ups are intense as well. Its not just 4 minutes and then done.
-
Should I keep doing Tabata (cardio) to lose more body fat then maybe lift more or keep doing what Im doing with some lifting too?
-
At the times the Tabata classes are after that is when the weight machine, smith machine, cable weights are all crowded with people waiting to use them. Work hours makes it hard to get there when its not crowded but I get to do a couple times a week when its available.

I have two different coaches every other day. Both work legs with weights and one really works arms. Its been five months doing it and I have upped my weights to double what I started with. We do 20 seconds HIIT, 10 seconds rest, 20 seconds a HIIT (different exercise) then repeat four times. We do 3 or 4 tabatas, warm up,…
-
No we do 3 Tabatas in a 30 minute workout with warm up, stretching , cool down and sometimes 4 tabatas.
-
I did exactly as you..I did 1200 and didnt believe eating more could be true but when 500 people tell you to eat more because that is what worked for them then it had to be true! It`s true, it`s slow but it works!!
-
Also read read read...I would read other questions people had and answers and I learned so much that way. I still have questions but I have learned so much.
-
Your resting rate is what your body burns just resting...so you need 1520 cals if you laid in bed all day...You should always eat above that number. MFP gave me 1200 too but I didnt lose weight until I started eating 1500/1700. Research TDEE -20%...best way ever to lose weight.
-
How long have you been doing this?
-
If you have PCOS you may also be Insulin Resistant. If that is the case then it`s very hard to lose weight and your body doesnt burn fat like it should...your doctor could give you Metformin with helps with PCOS & I.R....then your body will burn fat like it is suppose to which then you will see weight loss. That could help…
-
I see a difference too! Keep up the good work!!
-
Thanks...I never could figure that one out.
-
It took me 8 weeks before I lost my 1st pound. How many calories are you eating? It takes some people longer for their body to adjust.
-
I have heard of "low normal" thyroid and people have gone to an Endocrynologist (not sure of spell..thyroid doctor) and they put them on medicine for it..may want to check with thyroid doctor.
-
I would suggest to eat more. Just try it for a few weeks. High Cortisol levels will make you gain weight too. If you honestly feel that you are doing everything right then go back to the doctor. When I was eating 1200 calories it worked for a long time but then it stopped..my weight was bouncing all around eating small…
-
I would do 2 weeks of 1600. That would still be below your TDEE so you would be safe without gaining. You are not eating enough 1340 and if you eat below that. Maybe you could be Insulin Resistant too. Try 1500/1600 for 2 or 3 weeks..
-
Im Insulin Resistant..not sure of PCOS but have some symptoms. I was eating cleaner & exercising and nothing was working. I almost cried to my doctor because I didnt know what else to do. Finally he gave me Metformin. The first 4 weeks I lost 8lbs..now it has been 3 weeks with no weight loss. It didnt bother my stomach…
