Is there some kind of My Fitness Pal dictionary that explains all the acronyms I see on the message boards? Some I can figure out on my own, but others completely baffle me.

What are some of the ones you don't know?0

Offhand, some common ones I see that might be confusing to others:
MFP - myfitnesspal
BMR - basal metabolic rate, which is the amount of calories a body burns per day (not including digestion) if it were completely at rest, sometimes referred to as the calories burned if you were in a coma, calculated by using a few different formulas that are based on age, weight, height, and gender
RMR- resting metabolic rate, similar to BMR, but includes digestion calories
TDEE - total daily energy expenditure, the total amount of calories burned in a day, this is found by using your BMR and a multiplier based on your activity level (including exercise), it should be noted that MFP does not use TDEE under this definition to calculate your daily calorie burn since it separates exercise from activity level
TDEE-X% - a method of setting a calorie goal that would result in weight loss by resulting in a calorie deficit of X%; for example, TDEE-20% would be calorie deficit of 20% and a calorie goal of 80% of TDEE
30DS - 30 Day Shred, a popular workout program by Jillian Michaels
C25K - Couch to 5K, a popular (free) running program designed to help new runners gradually achieve the ability to run a 5K (or more)
HCG - a hormone that can be an indicator of pregnancy in women and some forms of cancer in men (true story), also used as a supplement in a controversial diet plan, is actually illegal without a prescription
SW - starting weight
CW - current weight
GW - goal weight
BF% - body fat percentage
HIIT - high intensity interval training0 -
Here's another one that had me stumped: NSV- Non scale victory. I had to google it to find out what it was.0

IIFYM - If it fits your macros. Basically eat what you want (within reason) as long as you get in your protein and don't go over on calories, fat, carbs, etc.0

Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who replied! The TDEE one and NSV had me scratching my head for a while. :-)0
