  • Make sure your "net" intake is over 1200, yes. Choose good foods to use those calories with, healthy protein etc. A spoon of peanutbutter is 100 calories, you can dip some carrots in there.
  • You just need to eat back enough to stay over 1200. So if you exercise 300 calories off, you should eat 1500 or a bit more. But don't just eat anything, keep an eye on *what* you are eating.
  • Its healthy to lose that much over a certain BMI. For you, you might want to just stick to a pound a week, otherwise you are expecting too much. The site just uses mathmatical formulas, I'm not sure they set a limit if you put in variables that makes it go under 1200. Also try to eat back some of what you exercise to…
  • You need to *net* 1200 to lose weight. Do not go under! Your body will go into starvation mode & store fat. So when you exercise, you add those calories to your goal for the day. So if you burn 300 calories and eat 1200, you are only netting 900 which is *bad*.
  • Baby carrots!! I dip them in Laughing Cow Light Cheese and its awesome and under 100 calories for a satisfying amount of both.
  • "Under 1200" is the problem. You always need to eat a bit over that, or your body goes into starvation mode and you store fat.
  • I put low-fat plain Greek Yogurt on my waffles with fresh berries every morning :D I loooove it!
  • When you are counting calories you don't deprive yourself at all.. you can eat anything you want. You just control *how much*. I can't live without chocolate or cheese, now I just eat smaller portions. I'm still happy & full after meals :) So you can totally do it!! No deprivation required.
  • Peanut butter! Each spoon is 100 calories.
  • I've been off coffee and soda entirely for a couple years and I feel really good about it. Though for caffiene, I drink tea (usually green, brewed loose not bagged). Other than that, just juice! Good luck :)
  • The low-dose pills have lesser side effects but still work the same way. I've been on Ortho-Tricyclin-Lo for a few years, gained a few lbs from starting college & being on the meal plan, but overall shorter consistant periods, no PMS or cramps, better skin, and the obvious purpose. So yeah, ask your doctor about low-dose…
  • Hi I'm new too! I get a lot of cravings for chocolate and cheese and its worse to deny yourself. Just have a tiny bit, and really enjoy every bite slowly. Then stop yourself so you don't have too much. Smoking is a tradeoff.. ssure it helps you lose weight but it takes years off your life. Its better to quit now & get…
