  • Yes good one!! The app. was an enormous help to me. I kept on recording for over 2 years after 57lbs. weight loss. Stopped recording almost a month ago and so far all is well. I do not ever want to regain that weight and if things get difficult then it's back to keeping records. It's thanks to MyfitnessPal! <3
  • I started present campaign around March '16. Recently passed 1000 days logging my meals. It works very well. But come February '19 I don't plan on renewing my subscription to MyFitnessPal. This plan has made reducing very easy. I managed to shred 57lbs. But I will be keeping a very close eye on consumption come the New…
  • You've got what it takes :)
  • I was very happy with myself but a lot of friends and family criticised some. Although I did probably look thin I felt as if I was always walking on air and that for me was far more important that how I looked. At 68yo health is more important than how I looked. And besides I am in recommended weight range. :)
  • I log every day but is more necessary over Christmas holiday time. I've just posted elsewhere how successful last Christmas was with the help of logging.
  • Mines 2180 plus cardio calories which for me are essential each day. Been in maintenance mode for 14/15 months. Has been working very well. I hope this Christmas is as easy as last.
  • Great job IremiaRe. You're lookin' well. :)
  • A fantastic transformation. Congratulations! :)
  • SummerSkier I agree with all your points. As you mention one does get familiar with the calorie content of foods and logging means no unexpected increases in weight. Keep on logging. :)
  • Thanks also to Stationagentjules, SummerSkier, mk2fit and again to JustRobby1. Stationagent, when I previously lost weight there wasn't myfitnesspal to help, in fact earler loses were before internet time. I have to give a lot of credit to this website for my success. My secret would be logging everyday, I know it's not…
  • Since beginning of March '16 when I restarted reducing I have always eaten my calories back earned from activity and managed to lose 2lbs per week. 2lbs was my target loss per week. I do enjoy every bite of food that enters my mouth.
  • Thanks to Need2Exerc1se, JustRobby1,nowine4me and BigGuy47 and everyone for showing interest. Don't think I have forgotten anyone. :)
  • Absolutely fantastic! Especially when buying clothes. Down to 33/34in waist from size 40in.
  • Thanks lorrpb, middlehaitch, KareninLux and SeikoMonster. I intend to keep logging for as long as I feel necessary. My wife thinks I am nuts but logging works for me and helps me keep the pounds off. All meals are home cooked so I beleive that is important. Myfitnesspal is also a big help. There are meals we would have…
  • Just doing a check there. Five weeks ago MyFitnessPal predicted I would hit the new weight of 175lbs on July 22. How close was that managing to reach it two days early on July 20. o:)

  • On day 138 passed my previous target of 182lbs now sitting at 175lbs. Finding it difficult to get into maintenance mode especially as my wife is following me for dieting and walking.

  • Sorry to hear about the fall. My thinking also is to keep on the move, if no cycle then walk. Hope you recover back to full strength again.
  • 27 Months! Great staying power. B)
  • Thank-you everyone for kind comments. Just getting out of 2 or 3 weeks of plateau. Present weight 189lbs with a target of 182lbs or 36in waist.

  • Hillsborough Forest here in North Ireland is a very popular spot with walkers and joggers. There is a large lake in the middle of the forest with a walkway around the perimeter. It is one of the local beauty spots.
  • North of Ireland where it tried to snow this morning.
