  • My 10 year old is doing BodyBeast with my wife and I. Making great progress and I keep pushing him to go heavy. Form is most important in my opinion.
  • Bodybeast is on sale thru beachbody. Lift heavy and continue to add weight. You will build if you go heavy. You should be using dumbbells over 20lbs for many exercises. The last ones you want the shakes.
  • Stay focused on your goal. The first thing you have to realize is the goal is for you. You can build a team of support, but you have to put the effort in. Your body is broken, experiment with different things or maybe refocus. Maybe take up lifting and turn fat to muscle vs all cardio. I have no idea what your doing for 2…
  • I disagree with this. Look at a gym parking lot in January, and now compare. Spouses that both work, kids, and commutes working out at home is great. Your point on motivation is needed for home or the gym. Yes, buying weights for home cn be expensive but so can gym memberships. Craig's list and garage sales can help I am…
  • Body beast. Just went on sale. You need dumbbells from 4 to 30s. Push yourself to go heavy. P90x has more of a cardio theme with weights.
  • You need to cut and sculpt. Cut: lose weight, hard I know, because you can't spot reduce. Sculpt: work on exercises that help shape. Example in your shoulders. I am working on the same goals myself. Trying Body Beast for the same reasons. You might even explore sodium intake.
  • Make sure your training on uneven training surfaces, stairs/hills and be able to run 6 miles at a time. Upper body pull ups, pushups, monkey bars. You can get assistance on most obstacles but I don't know anyone that will carry you 12 miles.
  • Eat meat and veggies. 1 lb chicken 520, 1 lb celery and will total about 700. Stay away from processed food and quantity will go up
  • You averaged 3 lbs per week in your first month. Keep doing it for couple more weeks. Our diets are similar.
  • This will go against most on here, this is what I did. I do a run in the morning (I log it 100%). I do a p90x/insanity hybrid and log 1/2 or less. I also cut my calories 500 per day to 1400. (36 yr old male at 229) My numbers go against every calculator and recommended advice. You know if you are logging accurate, I had a…
  • Take the after cooked weight divided by Pre cooked. 8/16=50%. Then the percentage to get back to starting weight in this example is 100%. Therefore, if you are eating 8ounces after cooked weight you would need to log as 16 ounces. Labels are always based on precooked. If you are cooking in bulk: assuming you are cooking 5…
  • You talked about the 20% margin of error on food labels. Do you use the label for the nutrient information or a govt website?
  • So use the info above what am I doing wrong? 4 servings is 1 lb and 560 calories
  • Country Style Pork Ribs Boneless Pork Loin D- Grade 140 Calories Taken from a different website. 448 grams is 4 servings. 140 x 4= 560!!!!! Nutrition Facts Serving Size 4oz (112 g) Per Serving % Daily Value* Calories140 Calories from Fat 45 Total Fat 5g 8% Saturated Fat 2g 10% Cholesterol 55mg 18% Sodium 210mg 9%…

  • DO YOU WANT PICTURES OF THE SCALE? PICTURES OF THE CELERY!!!! THAT IS 1 CELERY STALK WANT VIDEO!!! WANT PICTURES OF FOOD LABELS FROM THE FOOD I COOK!!!
  • I cooked the porkchops in 1 tbsp (14grams) on the first day 120 calories. That is it!!! no seasoning, i logged that all on the first day the meat was spread out over several days. Turkey most of time just brown it. if not logged same as above
  • Yes, I have asked the same question. You told me to lower my calories by 500 and I have the same result. Yes, I eat that amount of celery. Yes, I realize that is over 1 lb of celery!!!!!!! If the scale was at ZERO and then you add the pieces of celery (no container) only the pieces of celery and the scale reads 864g. Then…
  • I wear the heart rate monitor for runs and my p90x hybrid (P90x and Insanity)
  • Yes, I eat back my calories and all of them. I use a polar ft40 set to me. However, I am starting to doubt my HRM as I know my food logging is accurate.
  • 3 times daily on average or every time I walk by. My weight can fluctuate lbs between meals, I record lows. Works for me
  • I do weigh my food. I use the grams not cup sizes
  • Still at the same weight range.
  • Are you taking measurements? I am having similar results with paleo, and weight has not moved lower since 4-7. However, I am losing inches.
  • Record your results on the workout sheets. At the next workout push yourself for 1 more rep or more weight. Go for heavy weight and less reps, unless he tells you the rep number. Take pictures, take measurements, make yourself do it every day. Including the YOGA. I do a p90x insanity hybrid. Crazy but p90x is slow compared…
  • If the co is so easy to determine? A simple kiosk in the mall would provide the calorie need and obesity would be gone.
  • I agree with CICO. Calories in: easy to find using Mfp. Calories out: that is the question. Because this sets the calories in needed. For most a simple calculation will answer CO. So this is an easy process. To them congrats: set ci lower then co and you have a deficit. The question is when CO is a ???? the calculations do…
  • Every time you eat them, kick your toe into the wall really hard. The pain will replace the pleasure. Or simply tell yourself no. Why do you think places advertise? They know most are weak minded!!! Drink water and eat something healthy
  • I understand the divorce rate being so high, after reading the responses. The reason marriages don't work is both sides quit trying. Also, most couples don't talk enough. Should he talk to you that way, no. However, he talked to you, and not a public forum. How would you feel if he blasted the problems to complete…
