Tough Mudder Training

Hi everyone!
So I'm really feeling quite lost. I've scoured the internet about building muscle/losing body fat and now I'm just confused.
I'm training for a Tough Mudder in October. I'm 5'5 and about 150 pounds. According to body fat calipers I have at home I'm 27% body fat (I'm not sure how accurate this is, since I did it myself with a little help from my inexperienced boyfriend). I've always been into fitness, my cardio health is excellent (I run), and I got into lifitng heavy last January (I didn't have a solid fitness plan though). I eat very healthy but I've never watched my calorie intake, and I never seem to gain or lose weight.
So my goals are to finish this TM, really lean out my body, and be able to do an unassisted chin up. I'm eating in a deficit right now with 200c/140p/50f, calculated using the iifym.com calculator. I have kept the cardio to a minimum (20 min hiit 2-3 days a week) and I'm lifting heavy 5 to 6 days a week (focusing on compound lifts).
So my question is should I CONTINUE to cut to lose the body fat? Or should I focus on a small bulk to really build up the muscle I need for TM? I started a TM training plan (from their website) about a month ago and I've already seen some small changes in my body. Obviously, with my body fat percentage I would like to avoid putting on extra fat, but I know with a cut its hard to put on muscle. ANY input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, guys.

Make sure your training on uneven training surfaces, stairs/hills and be able to run 6 miles at a time. Upper body pull ups, pushups, monkey bars. You can get assistance on most obstacles but I don't know anyone that will carry you 12 miles.0
