Hi Bri, I'm working to lose 100-150 lbs. I'm feeling very optimistic. I just started 9 days ago, so it's easy to be optimistic the first week. I'm looking at my past attempts as learning experiences that led me to this moment. I have learned something each time I've worked to get fit. I'm going to use that knowledge to…

Best wishes Brad. I'm interested in triathlons. I'm not imagining the Ironman, but the Olympic distances sound reasonable to me :) I just started working out, and I'm seriously over-weight. I set a goal for 4 weeks to do 3 miles on the stationary bike, 2 on the elliptical and 1 mile in the pool. (I love swimming.) I…

I never have trouble getting in enough calories. I just have to make sure I do enough exercise to burn enough.

My older sister was the blonde cheerleader/beauty pageant girl. I totally understand feeling like the lesser light. It's hard, but the reality is who you are matters so much more, so just be your beautiful self and the right people will see that. (You are plenty beautiful, so I'm sure some people are thinking..... don't…

I know where you're coming from... I used to get "pretty" and I wanted "beautiful." Now I'm almost 40, and 100 lbs over weight, so I'll take whatever compliments I can get :))))))))))))))))))))) I've lost 27 and hope to move back to cute sometime this year!!! :))))))

I'm down 27 since January and I love this site. I don't post alot, but I find the reports and logging information extremely helpful.

Revisiting this topic, I've now lost 24 lbs since January and a decent bit has been in my chest. I thought I'd be disappointed, but I'm not. There's less jumping up on me whilest I'm working out and they don't seem any worse off than before. Hope everyone is having great success and happy exercising!!!

btw, Whitney, I just saw your progress chart... Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm working with triple Ds on their way down, and I like a regular bra with the Danskin sports bra.... with the two I think they're locked in place.

Everyone is different, I find that when I exercise for 60 minutes I can have more calories than I want. So, maybe instead of 30 minutes, you could see if 60 can fit into your schedule. (Even if it's 30 here and there or 15 here and there...)

Your time of the month can make a big impact on the scale... a couple days before and/or during that week. Additionally, salt intake, and muscle gain can make the scale look high. Measuring tape and jeans... they will help you get through the days where the scale lets you down. Don't give up!!!

I've always had a large chest. When I was 130 in highschool I had a nice body, but like many young women I was embarassed to have such a large top. I've often thought of what I'll look like once I drop the weight.... (I could use a 120 lb loss... ) I seriously would want to get them lifted. Has anyone here had a lift?

I'm going to agree with the morning people. (Immediately after work without going home's a good option too... but you really feel energized and positive when you exercise in the morning.) I've got alot to lose also and I struggle with the same issues of making sure I get the workout in. I'm going to start planning my…

I love the elliptical too and I will ask a professional the following question: I was told to switch directions if walking on an indoor track, something about the same motion phsically injuring you.... I vaguely remember someone telling me this about the elliptical too... Are you supposed to do one day "forward" on and…

I agree with the people saying you should eat the amount of calories the system is telling you, not less. Also.... agree with water and protein helping to fill you up. I'd like to add.... if you feel you are starving you will be less likely to stick with a program. This game takes a long time and you need to stick with it.…

Great job, :)) I'm always glad to hear success stories. I've known a couple people who have been successful in losing weight without surgery. That makes me feel encouraged.

Good luck everyone!!!

I'm supporting the nuts, good for you and fill you up. I personally prefer almonds, but they make me feel good and full... just need to look at them as substantive, because they are.

hash pipe, Beverly Hills, Perfect situation, Island in the Sun... Weezer

I'm eating more than I ever have on a "diet." If you eat too little you set your body into starvation mode and it holds onto everything. Make sure you're eating enough and working out. If you only have a little bit of weight to lose, it's harder, and slower. I've got plenty to lose, so it always falls off in the beginning.…

jodianna, I think your list shows why you are hungry. (Which is good that you probably are not an addict, you are just sincerely hungry.) Your list looks high in sugar and carbs,..... I really think you'll think about food less if you had some protein. A cereal like Special K sets you up to be hungry all day. As numerous…
