Trying again.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Bri, and I have been trying to lose weight and frankly, not succeeding. I have been a member of Weight Watchers for over a year, and I was having a lot of trouble committing to the program. I don't think that particular method works for me, but I have had success before with My Fitness Pal so I dropped WW and I'm back! I had grandiose plans to lose weight before my wedding last September, and didn't lose a single pound and ended up gaining some on my honeymoon (no regrets, the food was awesome). Now I am in a position where my husband and I are starting to talk about having children, and I am not comfortable getting pregnant at the weight I am currently at. I want to have a healthy pregnancy, and I know that's going to start with me getting down to a healthy weight. I also want to be able to play and interact with my future children without getting winded or tired as easily as I do now. I am excited to embark on this journey and hopeful it will stick. I just ordered the 21 Day Fix containers in hopes that they will help me with portion sizes and meal planning, even if I don't follow the program perfectly. Any support I can get would be SO appreciated, as I am apt to fall off the wagon when I get too busy/too tired. My goal right now is to lose 20 pounds by August 20th, though my overall goal is to lose 95 pounds. Much easier for me to adjust to if I have a smaller goal in sight. Looking forward to meeting some fellow weight loss warriors!

Hi Bri, I'm working to lose 100-150 lbs. I'm feeling very optimistic. I just started 9 days ago, so it's easy to be optimistic the first week. I'm looking at my past attempts as learning experiences that led me to this moment. I have learned something each time I've worked to get fit. I'm going to use that knowledge to meet my goals. I've set one goal for this week, and another goal for 4 weeks from now. My goals are focused on improving my fitness. I'm going to keep track of my eating here on MFP and I know that will bring success. I cannot have my goal set only on weekly lbs lost because that is not as definable a goal as a fitness goal. I know I can work at, attack and conquer my fitness goals, and that will lead to the weight loss I want. Just wanted to drop a note and let you know you can do this!!!

Hi Bri! Congratulations!! On your fairly recent wedding and decision to make some healthy changes in your life! I'm back too after having lost 30 pounds on another program, only to gain it back after a surgery a couple years ago now. I would like to lose 60-70 pounds. I'm concerned with how I feel health-wise and in my clothes more than I am some magic number. I haven't even formally "introduced" myself yet. Planning a beach trip in August and although I probably won't be at a final goal I should be able to make significant progress by then.
    All the best to you!
