    I can totally relate. Every guy I've dated or known as a friend has called me cute or beautiful. I don't mind beautiful sometimes but I'm soo sick of being called cute!

    But then again, a compliment is a compliment as someone else will probably tell us.

    LOL, I am 41 and still get called cute or kiddo. My 14 year old calls me cute. I kinda like it. I feel young and cute. It makes me smile.
    I am only 5'2".

    omg me tooo!!!!!!!!!! ive gotten so used to it and if someone dares to call me sexy i dont believe them at all!!!!!! :( i feel like the word cute is meant to be used for kids such as my 3 year old, not grown women ughh

    Part of it is your age. You're only 18, and for some people, younger ages and cute just seem to go together. Plus, if you're hearing it from guys, they don't always have the biggest vocabulary, and on the plus side of this, they tend to use certain words almost in a derogatory way. So maybe it's a good thing they are saying cute? Just a thought.

    Just throwing this out there, if you dont want to be cute, than try not to be, dress like a hobo and make yourself look ugly, problem solved, or just take the compliment and roll with it. Just because someone calls you cute doesnt mean they want to sleep with you

    I so know how you feel!!! I am 21 and engaged. Once while out, someone asked if kyle ( my fiance) was my big brother... that is beyond disturbing and annoying!

    Yeahhh ive gotten that way! when you get use to people saying nawww u aint ugly or..U cute inda facee... omg! lol ill admit i cant wait till the day when someone calls me sexy and i dontt just brush em off as pickin on me! lol

    I know where you're coming from... I used to get "pretty" and I wanted "beautiful." Now I'm almost 40, and 100 lbs over weight, so I'll take whatever compliments I can get :))))))))))))))))))))) I've lost 27 and hope to move back to cute sometime this year!!! :))))))

    I've been called ugly too. But it just seems like cute is a cop out at this point,and does anything but encourage me. I've been in a shadow my whole life to someone who is related to me and supposedly "beautiful". Idk. I wanna be better than that. I'm confident about who I am. I just wish others would admonish the fact I'm more than cute. You can only take that word so many times or at least I can.

    I actually prefer to be called cute, beautiful or gorgeous...I HATE being called sexy. I feel like it implies other motives rather than a true pure feeling of attractiveness...it feels like I'm being objectified. Same goes for hot... I don't really like it.

    I don't think she meant that being called cute was a way for someone to initiate any kind of sexual relationship. But rather cute as a kid...

    My older sister was the blonde cheerleader/beauty pageant girl. I totally understand feeling like the lesser light. It's hard, but the reality is who you are matters so much more, so just be your beautiful self and the right people will see that. (You are plenty beautiful, so I'm sure some people are thinking..... don't knock what you have been given!!)

And, I know you don't want to hear it but you are cute which is a compliment because again in your pics I'll bet you are lively, humorous,energy filled, spontaneous and fun to be around. There's a lot of women who have surface beauty but are real ugly inside. Be happy you're cute....the ugly duckling was cute as a baby that grew into a beautiful swan.
