This is a great workaround solution. Thanks!

I'm adding this post to my browser favorites. This is exactly how I want my story to go. I started my journey needing to lose exactly as many pounds as you did in the beginning, we are both trying to accomplish our goals via a low carb lifestyle, and I even think we're the same height, shorties unite! LOL You are truly MY…

Thanks for your words. I am working on my self esteem through my weight loss. It's very low at the moment and it's always been (since I was a teenager) because of my weight issues. I think, and I hope, that when I learn to love myself the way I should, I will be able to turn my life around. Hopefully that day will be here…

As much as it pains me to admit it, I hear what you are saying and I totally agree, however, I am one of those women who have been cheated on and have decided to give him another opportunity time and time again. I keep saying that I keep forgiving him because we have 2 children and I do not want a broken home, but I know…

I need to lose that and more, so I'm with you!

You got me listening to it on my iPod right now. Such a great song.

Hi Ilene. I'm doing Atkins. Have been for 3 weeks now and have lost almost 20 lbs. I know a few people here are also doing Atkins. Welcome aboard.
-
Really? 3 ounces? jeez!
-
Awesome! Got myself a salad with oven roasted chicken breast!

Totally agree with what Pragmatica says here. I think it's all about what you can commit to and works for you. For me it's low carb all the way as well.

I watched all 4 episodes of "I used to be fat" that I missed through my cable's On Demand in one sitting. I couldn't stop watching it. It motivated me so much. I'm going to check if this new show is also on On Demand so I can watch it too. Shows like these are great to watch and give me so much hope.

You know I noticed the same thing. I usually wear a 7-1/2 or a 7W but this weekend I wore my daughter's 6-1/2 shoes without any discomfort. I guess my feet must have been really swollen.

Oh and the big one, my husband says I'm no longer snoring!!!!

That is awesome. Congrats. I am down 18 lbs 2-1/2 weeks and I have noticed lots of changes too. * My clothes are looser, specifically around my hips and thighs. Waist too, but not as much as the previous two. * I don't notice the difference in my face, but other people do, and they are asking me what it is I'm doing to…

Damn!!

I do the same thing. This is why I'm hoping MFP will add capability to browse the forums from the iphone app.

The Hangover...hands down

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll mix it up with Elliptical + treadmill + aerobics. I have borrowed the Zumba DVD's from my mom so that should help.

I got lucky. I found them at my local supermarket in the produce section where they have the bean sprouts.

I actually read about those noodles this weekend and bought a packet yesterday when I went grocery shopping. Thinking about having them for dinner tonight. I'll let you know how they come out.

Hi Tonya, Yes I would love to have that formula. I will be measuring with measuring tape. Thanks so much for clearing that up for me :)

I listen to a lot of Pop, club, 80's, and Spanish music. Here's my Workout Mix that I have on my iPod: 1) Rythm of the night - La Bouche 2) Sweet Dreams - Eurythmics 3) Be My Lover - La Bouche 4) C'Mon & Ride It (the train) - Quad City DJs 5) Everytime We Touch (club mix) - Cascada 6) Que Buena Tu Ta (Official Remix) -…

Currently in induction, so keeping it to 20 carbs a day. I snack on cheese, cold cuts, and nuts (I limit it to 1 oz to-go packs). Thinking of making my own snacks too based on some recipes I found.

I'm a shortie. Only 5' tall and a LOT of weight to lose. Started out with 250 lbs and have lost 13 so far. Mini goal is to break free from the 200's, but my doctor says for my height I should be 110 lbs. Yikes!

Thanks ladies :)

*sigh* I've been going through this struggle of refusing to be in my 30's, and I'm 34 already!!! I keep wanting people to ID me and hanging out with people in their 20's. I think I'm going through a mid-life crisis. LOL.

Thanks everyone. This was definitely a lot of info that I needed. I think that P90X is not for me, as I am in no way "in good shape". I am pretty heavy now as it is, so if it's something that will be physically impossible for me to do, I'd rather look into something else. I am definitely committed to working out 1-2 hours…

Hi Grokette :smooched: I understand about that. I have done Atkins on and off too since roughly 2003 as well, the last time I did it (for real) being in 2003 right before becoming pregnant with my son. Since I've done induction before, and I know that I don't have an intolerenace to these foods, wouldn't it be safe to…

We have a biggest loser challenge at work and I keep finding sweets and snacks on my desk. They're trying to sabotage my efforts, but it ain't gonna work. In fact, just the fact that they are trying so hard to sabotage me tells me they think I'm a huge threat. That makes me feel better.

I have made this from the recipe at found at http://blog.yourlighterside.com/. It is amazing. I didn't use as many toppings but just the taste of the pizza sauce, the pepperoni and the green peppers on a faux pizza crust made my day.
