  • Half an avocado, a small banana, half cup of pineapple cubes, hand full of kale, cinnamon, one cup unsweetened cashew milk, and few ice cubes. right around 275 calories. The banana and avocado make it really smooth, thick, and filling! This is my daily breakfast.
  • I eat a 35 calorie per slice from Aunt Millie's that is also low carb. If not that, always a 12 grain and only one slice.
  • I am taking probiotics. And I only drink water, tea, or coffee. Gluten maybe?
  • Crock pots are great as mentioned. You could also do some make ahead meals on Sunday and just pull them out to reheat/finish cooking them. You could also try to grill more in the summer. It is about the only time my husband helps with the cooking so we are getting more done in less time.
  • Thin crust pizza with goat cheese, avacado, and basil. Add yellow pepper slices if you like. top with oregano. WOW!
  • Is there a way to acknowledge that a friend is overweight without sounding like the skinny b!@#$? If they did say run one more lap you would be upset that they are judging. I don't think there is a good answer here other than stop asking if you look fat or making comments about how fat you are/look. Give your friend a…
  • Saw the topic. Had to read! LMAO. I can't laugh too hard though so I don't pee my pants!
  • I have TERRIBLE knees! If you did not go to the running store for an analysis of your gate, I suggest that. It helped me more than I thought it would. Warm up. While it hurts, try a heating pad for at least 10 minutes before you jog. Then stretch and ice when complete. Going forward. ALWAYS. I like a paper dixie cup filled…
  • I like a Gu packet about 20 minutes prior to a race. I don't use them on a normal basis though. I also have a negative reaction to most "energy" items. If you feel that sluggish, you should really have some blood work done. Might a symptom and not the problem.
  • HAHA! I like this!
  • Yup, life is happening! LOL No worries, it happens to most of us! I have a few suggestions: 1. the video suggestion is a great thought assuming you have one. 2. Throw on your headphones, clean your house, and DANCE your way through it! Fun and cleaning! :) 3. Find small spurts. Can you commit to dropping down to do…
  • I have to say that it has worked for me and I don't follow it to the letter. I would say that my 54 lb loss speaks as loudly as anyone else's. I agree that she has not followed it to the letter but that is no reason to attack. Settle down killers. Nothing is one size fits all. I do like this community for the suppport but…
  • I was told to eat balanced adn that adding a peanut butter and jelly sandwich a day was about the most. or course I was fairly overweight already and was asked to attempt to gain less than 20 lbs. That was tough as my son was 10 lbs on his own! LOL
  • There is one exception to my no sugar free rule. I love sugar free jello! it is LOW in carbs, tastes great, and with a little low sugar ready whip (also like no carbs) I get my fix! Also, the low sugar chocolate ready whip in my tea, never miss the extra sugar! Good luck!
  • My husband was recenlty diagnosed as diabetic so we have had the great sugar debate in our household! I have been pretty good with my food for a while now but enjoy the occasional treat. As far as sugar free goes, I would suggest using the real thing but going in moderation. The fake stuff scares me and I also hate the…
  • Well done! Baby steps win the race! I love this place, the app, the folks I have rooting for me and I for them! Best of luck. Stay focused and I promise it gets easier, and kind of fun. Wish I could get my mom to join but........:drinker:
  • I have found over time, my cravings have shifted to a healthier treat anyway. I find myself craving hummus and cut peppers. Of course I have to be careful with the dip but really? I used ot crave chips and ranch dip. And bananas! I can't get enough! The great part is, my kids are making better choices as well without my…
  • I know for myslef, I was an athlete as a kid. NEVER worried about what I ate. I gained weight with my first daughter as I went on bed rest at 22 weeks and blew up. I had the baby, tried to lose the weight, no luck. Asked for a thyroid check, nothing. continued to gain, worked 80 hours a week with a newborn and found myself…
  • The guy should pay but if you offer, it kind of sends the friend vibe so he probably thought he slipped into the dreraded frend zone! he could have halves though. That is the move of a vinegar bag.
  • 1. I was a competitive dancer for 5 years 2. I am afraid of birds 3. I watch Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride 2 everytime I see them on 4. I am 35 and can still turn cartwheels, handsprings, and can backflip on a trampoline 5. I make great risotto but flat out can not make just plain old white rice to save my…
  • I guess the context is really what bothers me but I HATE, HATE, HATE when I am at work and someone older than me calls me "young lady." I am in a fairly high corporate position with my company and I have worked really hard to get to where I am in my early thirties. I am at least 5 years younger than the next person holding…
  • I usually take my meds in the middle of the night when I get up to check the kids, let the dog out, go to the bathroom etc. But I don't always get up. I guess I will cut hte cream from my coffee in the morning. Really don't need the cals anyway. Everything on here to avoid is pretty much what I eat. fish, strawberries…
  • Not arguing against your main point here but I have been logging for over a year now and I have been "warned" that I am eating too many calories but been above a 1200? happened Tuesday as a matter of fact. OP- If you are short one day, you are NOT going to throw yourself in to starvation mode. Don't stress yourself out…
  • I have told a few people, one stuck with it. When I told one lady I was using a web site she asked me if I was buying tape worm!
  • Sounds like you need a good cross trainer. You also have to consider how the shoes are generally cut. Nike seems to run a bit small and narrow but NB has a wide variety of widths. Honestly, I went to the run store and they helped me pcik out a pair of Saucony that I love!!! I tried on shoes yesterday and the new shoes had…
  • I am sure she is happy for you but it is tough when you work your butt off (literally) and your spouce is surpassing you. Not to take away from what you have done by any means but your wife does have to work harder to lose the same amount and as a woman, it really sucks sometimes! My hubs has lost 20 lbs since the…
  • In a word, MILF. :drinker:
  • I have a bikini that I wore for the first time in years last summer and did so with pride. It is not a small one and looks and functions more like a sports driven design. (Gotta keep the girls tucked in). The point is, you can be sexy, reveal what you are comfortable with and teach your kids about appropriate dress at the…
