Today is my 8th day of using myfitnesspal and was my first weigh-in of my 15 week plan.

I'm soooo happy that in my first week I've shed 5lbs!!! and even after cheating for the past 2 days and kinda pigging out lol. I cooked Pork Chops in an apricot and honey glaze last night with tons of veggies lol it was awesome. I understand that it would be foolish of me to expect this continuously over the next 14 weeks but to be honest I would be happy with 1-2lbs a week.

I've hit my second week head on and spent an hour on the treadmill this morning. I've been using a variety of calorie calculators to work out what I'm burning. Adding the results of them up, finding an average then rounding down to give me a rough estimate then i go with that.

On a side note my mother began to use this site and the app the same time as me and weighed in this morning too. She has also shed 2lbs. GO MUM!! ^_^

Well done! Baby steps win the race! I love this place, the app, the folks I have
rooting for me and I for them! Best of luck. Stay focused and I promise it gets easier, and kind of fun. Wish I could get my mom to join but........:drinker:
  • Thanks!!

Seeing this first weeks results has motivated me more. I don't really have to worry about the overdoing the cardio, it's the strength training that i have to be gentle with. before I lost my job a few months back I used to be on my feet moving around for 7+ hours a day. walking at a very brisk pace on the treadmill for an hour a day is fine ^^. When I was working and I started to watch my weight last time I lost around 50lbs and felt great. Sadly issues arose and I'm back to square one, but there'll be no relapses this time round ^^
