  • To break the barriers that I set for myself. Because I can. Because I kinda like being badass.
  • Ya just gotta watch out for stuff like that. Keep up your food logging and go for a nice walk if you over-indulge. I think one of the main points that everyone here stresses is lifestyle change; moving towards a healthier lifestyle where we can acknowledge that eating an box of sweets every day really isn't a great idea.
  • 21, USA, married for 1.5 years (military)
  • Great idea. Not just your waist, keep track of your arms, neck, legs, hips, underbust, where ever you can. Helps tremendously. Also, hit the weights :) Really helps for losing inches. Great job, and keep up the wonderful work!
  • Look into e-cigs. You can use lower and lower nicotine concentrations, until you are at 0%. It's the easiest way for me. Also, it helps to wean off of the habits. You can find tons of tips on them here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ and if you want a basic guide, send me a message, and I'd be happy to help you…
  • ^Unnecessary. OP - Work your pills, if they are the right kind. Be prepared for it to take effect anyway, just in case, but if you start working them now, you could use the next couple of months to wean your TOM to a week or two later. As far as worried about the string, just cut it. That's what the strippers do. If you…
  • For the tatas - Work those pecs! Sure, they are still more, and I hesitate to use this word, but "flat" than I would like, but at least they sit higher. From a 40G to a 36DDish (haven't been fitted in a bit...). I like the way they look topless better now that I've been lifting. As for my real trouble area, tummy. I just…
  • Oh god, she got me, right in the KARMA! Here I thought I was just being supportive in a friendly manner, without being a complete douche and airing out their diaries and MY personal issues with them to the forums. There's a personal message button, did you know that? Maybe you oughta give it a try, if you think your…
  • Take off the judgey pants, they don't do anything for your *kitten*.
  • Use flavored creamers. I was able to cut out sugar entirely, and use about a tablespoon per 2 cups of coffee. Or, switch to a flavored syrup and soy creamer. Even lower cals. Getting coffee out is on par with going out for ice cream in my book. Most days, just not worth those calories, but a nice treat once a month or so.
  • Hey, no worries! I'll tell you a secret...I'm up 5 pounds. Eep! It's okay, I got this, I just need to get my head in the game again. You've got your's in already, and that's great. Big plus right there. Just keep on trucking, dry those tears, and go look up a healthy recipe to treat yourself to.
  • Wean off and expect crankiness and headaches. We're pretty hardcore caffeine addicts. About every six months, husband goes through a non-dependency phase and will quit caffeine cold turkey. Since he self-medicated his ADD with caffeine (works), along with withdrawal headaches and crankiness, I cannot stand to be around…
  • Run. He's going to end up leaving you, maybe not now, but eventually, and you'll look back and wonder why the hell you put up with all of that for so long, and it will leave you with emotional scarring that will forever effect your future relationships. Some guys are weird, and if it's not there, it's not. Don't settle for…
  • You are wonderful! I have also spent a lot of my life with a huge amount of activities that I really wanted to do stuck in the "No, too big for that." This whole fitness thing, it's amazing. I have CHANGED my body, actually changed it, so that I can do the things I want to. I grew up thinking that was impossible, being…
  • Not true.
  • We got married pretty young, and we both messed up. I'll be the first to admit I messed up way more than he did, and I'm grateful every day that he was able to forgive me and allow us to move forward. It's been seven years now, and we are really damn happy together. At this point, if one of us made a mistake again, it…
  • Married my husband of almost 7 years now at age 19. It's so different with military lifestyles. He was being re-stationed across the country, and since I was sure we'd be married eventually anyhow and was planning on moving with him, we went ahead with it so he wouldn't have to live on the ship. Sometimes, it does work…
  • It seems everyone has a different idea of what tastes great. If you do a forum search, I bet you can find pages and pages of recommendations. I prefer Pure Protein Vanilla Cream (140 cal, 25 pro) mixed with four ounces water and four ounces strawberry orange juice.
  • I don't understand why this is gender based. I'm a woman (obviously) and I hold the door for anyone within a reasonable distance. It's manners, dammit. Other people hold it for me sometimes as well. It's rare that a door is shut in my face. I'm a bit curious if door holding is as common on the East Coast, especially…
  • A wheat cinnamon bagel bar chocked full of nuts and dried berries, 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter.
  • Congrats! You can do this, no problem! The biggest help for munching at night that I've come across is brushing my teeth after dinner. Some nights, I'll allow for a small snack (like if husband and I have plans to watch a movie together), but then it's time to switch to plain water and brush brush brush those teeth!
  • See, there's your problem. You offered it. Everyone knows that when it comes to marriage, you should just do what you think is best and screw his opinions. I bet he would have eaten it if you had cooked it up. And then, if he still hadn't, you could have turned on the quivering lip and let your eyes fill with tears. Works…
  • 5'8 here, started a size 24, and rock loose size 12 in jeans these days. I wore a size 12 dress all of yesterday, which was something I never dreamed of doing! I think within the next ten pounds, I'll be a comfortable 10, which is as low as I want to get.
  • Haha, I knew you had to be from my neck of the woods if you're worried about coyotes and running! Broomfield here. I worry about the coyotes, in fact, they are a good part of the reason I don't do my sunrise runs very often.
  • Sometimes, guys like that come along. I'm 7 years in with mine, and he still holds the door for me. It's all give and take and give some more.
  • I know it's been said, but I'll say it again. Most likely, you are retaining water. Also, don't weigh yourself after you drink a whole bunch of water. It's heavy. Weigh first thing in the morning, with a nice freshly emptied bladder and rockin it out sans clothing. I went off track for a few weeks and gained a couple of…
  • I might have a protein shake. Or a bagel nut bar with peanut butter. If I need to make a meal, I might go to allrecipes.com and browse around categories until I find something appealing with the ingredients I have available. Or a small bowl of oatmeal. Lots of options, some just take more effort. I know what you mean…
  • Popsicles. Even seeing one makes me gag.
