I am in recovery for my eating disorder currently. Just because you were discharged from a program doesn't mean you shouldn't continue to see someone. I am not involved in any programs, but I do see a therapist, a nutritionist, a general doc and a psychiatrist on a regular basis and they all talk to each other. My…

This! Very similar symptoms to thyroid issues. Go to your gynecologist and ask them to do an internal ultrasound of your ovaries. If they find they are covered in cysts, you have PCOS. All you have to do is change your diet and continue with the exercise. I have it. Took them a year to diagnose, but gained 40 lbs in 2…

Fantastic advice!! This is how my doctors helped me through my recovery. You should definitely look into finding a new doctor, at least for your recovery. Look for someone that understands EDs. During my recovery, I had a team of doctors (primary doctor, therapist and psychiatrist) and they all worked together to create…

I average 2000 calories a day and I lose.

Sounds like you just didn't engage your core. If you sink into the ball or arch your back this will happen. You have to engage your core the entire time and the back pain should go away. The ball is meant to give you a core workout while you are working the other muscle groups.

I have PCOS and my face definitely broke out a ton when I first cut out processed carbs. I am not glutton free or dairy free, but do not eat simple sugars or any processed carbs. Eventually it did even out for me and now I will get the occasional blemish, but that is all. One thing I found that made it significantly worse…

I used to shop and cook for the week. But, its snowboarding season, so now I snowboard. I basically don't get a rest day lately.

I have a severe case of PCOS and have lost 60 lbs and maintained it for two years. You can friend me or email with any questions.

Mine definitely did! I lost two full ring sizes in all of them. They are now long and lean (they were always long, but now they are thin). So, yes, you will lose fat there too. You will lose it in places you never thought that you had fat. So, just keep chugging along and eventually you will see the hands that you want.

For my house to close smoothly at 9:00 am today.

I take barre classes. They are amazing for your whole body, but my butt definitely perked up a ton with them. I get compliments all the time on it now. So, see if you have any barre classes offered in your area.

Its worth a shot, but give it time (like 4-6 weeks). I had to cut out processed sugar and carbs from my diet to clear mine up. If I even add them back in for a week it comes back. I have found for my body they are directly related. But, that may not be the case for you. But, it doesn't hurt to try, and cutting out…

My parents told my brother and I at a very young age. They told us not to ruin it for our friends and classmates, but explained the real meaning of Christmas. I don't feel like I missed out on anything. We still celebrated and had traditions. I still had a fantastic imagination. I don't think there is harm in either way.

I love my pole classes! I've been doing it for about three months now. It took me about 3 weeks before I could really move to more intermediate moves. My upper body strength and core strength have increased considerably. It is seriously a fantastic workout and makes you feel so sexy and strong. Like others said, you will…

We have them at my studio. I take like three a week, but I can't do that yet.

I am in the same boat, except I have only been in recovery for about 10 months. I think that 1400 + exercise calories is a very healthy amount for your height. I eat anywhere between 1800-2200 calories a day (depending on exercise). I don't lose very quickly though because I am still fixing my metabolism and trying to…

I have been a sox fan since birth! Today is a great day!!!!

Low Testosterone is a problem in a lot of areas. Its definitely part of the sex issue, but it is also a huge contributor to depression. And depression makes someone lazier than they used to be because they are down and tired and don't see the point. He needs to get that taken care of, and I think you will see a change in…

I am insulin resistant. There is a cookbook called The Ultra Metabolism Cookbook that I used to get started. Once you figure out what to substitute in your diet, it gets easier. But this cookbook definitely got me going. Also, you can add me for support.

When I first started lifting I definitely gained and felt bigger for almost two months. I saw no movement on the scale for weeks and not change in my measurements. Then all of a sudden, two months later I dropped 6 lbs in 4 weeks. I eat at a very minimal deficit, so there is no way I should have dropped that much, but I…

Don't rush the dating thing, just let life happen and enjoy every minute of it. I didn't start dating until college either. I thought I was weird (I am in America) because all my friends had relationship after relationship. But, now I am happy that I didn't just jump from guy to guy and I got good grades and an awesome…

For me, I am not a big meat eater, and didn't really ever consider protein important. When I found out I was insulin resistant, i had to reevaluate what I ate. I switched to a high veggie, low protein and low carb diet. Let me tell you, that doesn't really work. lol. Once I started working with my trainer I upped my…

I also have PCOS and have had quite a bit of success losing weight and have kept it off for two years. You can friend me if you like. But, I'll tell you that the key to keeping my carb cravings under control is eating a ton of protein every day. I don't crave sweets or carbs anymore as long as I eat enough protein.
