I use a Withings scale, then it all recorded and sync'd everytime.

Nearly killed myself running with Megadeth - Hangar 18. But did have my fastest 2km I've ever run.

Photos, take photos in you underwear, at the start. Then once a month. Do you look at people and say they are a lovely 85kg or do you say what a lovely figure they have. So I'd go with photos.

I love the endomodo app and it links into mfp as well. So shows you how many extra calories you can eat/drink :-) Turn on the commentry on the phone and it will tell you how fast each km , and allows you to play your music at the same time. When there is a goal/time to achieve it really helps with the motivation.
