  • I'm just now joining in. I've done 29 miles so far this month.
  • I don't know all the ins and outs but I just recently had an interesting experience regarding this. I recently cut out most processed and "junk" food from my diet because, even though I wasn't eating a lot of calories (generally around 1500 to 1600 a day), the junky type food coupled with the fact that I wasn't getting…

  • I could probably drink a whole cup of heavy cream too but the next day I'd totally pay for it.
  • I don't do any kind of aerobics. I'm just not coordinated enough. I do have one of those Leslie Sansone videos that I'll do in the winter months or when it's raining out and I suppose that could be considered a type of aerobics but it's mainly just walking in places so it's not so bad.
  • Yep, it definitely wasn't my fault that I all but quit exercising. Then started drinking Dr. Pepper instead of water, having a couple of Reece's Peanut Butter Cups for snack and ice cream most days after dinner. Not my fault at all that after 6 years of that, I'd managed to gain 56 pounds. I'm probably lucky it wasn't more.
  • I'm doing low carb but not very low carb. I tried very low carb for a short while and it just didn't work for me. I'm doing some tweaking to my diet right now and I'm doing 33% carbs, 22% protein and 45% fat. That works out to 111 grams of carbs, 68 grams of fat and 74 grams of protein. Of course, MFP won't let me put in…
  • Cauliflower crust pizza and baby greens salad.
  • I'm having some of the same problems. I had gained 56 lbs because of basically just eating junk but I felt awful. So I started dieting and eating better but the problem is that so many healthy foods aren't very high calorie; things like green leafy veggies, lower glycemic fruits, and lean meats. So I ended up only…
  • These are in no particular order but I used a lot of all of these: Onions Tomatoes Garlic Spinach Eggs Cauliflower Broccoli Chicken Breast Olive Oil Black Half-Caff Coffee
  • My husband thinks this is really gross but I love it. It's called Moroccan Avocado Almond Smoothie. These are the ingredients: 1/2 ripe Hass avocado 1 cup plain unsweetened almond milk 1/2 tbsp raw honey 1/2 tsp vanilla extract Just blend it until smooth and drink up. Edited to add: I also add about a quarter cup of whey…
  • I also like the Almond Breeze Unsweetened plain. Regular milk has started to bother my tummy since I've gotten older and I don't trust soy. I like rice milk well enough but it has too much sugar.
  • Thanks guys. I already eat nuts for my snacks most days and I use olive oil and coconut oil in my cooking. I'm pretty sure the salad dressing that I normally use is full fat. It's the Newman's Own Creamy Caesar which uses olive oil and comes in at 160 cals for 2 tbsps. I may just have a few more nuts when I snack and add…
  • Neither! I love fat! Nuts, nuts, nuts and more nuts! And I want them unsalted.
  • I know I mentioned in my post that I avoid wheat and brown rice but that's because of the adrenal and thyroid issues. If you don't have problems with those, I think you're probably okay having them in moderation. Can't help you with the 100 pound loss though. My goal is closer to 50 pounds. I'd like to wish you good luck…
  • I'm on a diet that calls for avoiding all three of these. I don't do wheat or brown rice at all. My husband and I are on a very low carb diet because he has blood sugar problems but because of thyroid and adrenal issues on my part, I can't do the 20 to 35 grams of carbs a day he's doing. I need closer to 60 to 70 to feel…
  • My parents took my brother and me to a Jerry Reed and Brenda Lee concert when I was like 5 or 6 but I don't really count that. The first concert that I went to and wanted to go was Blue Oyster Cult when I was 13.
  • Because she looks way cooler in shades than I do.
  • Because she's wearing very obviously winter gear and I just want winter to be over already!
  • I use Leslie Sansone's walk at home videos. You don't need a whole lot of room and you can add weights. I'm not in shape enough to do that yet but eventually.
  • I'm on the 1200 plan. It's okay I guess. I seem to go over more days than not though. I need to exercise more.
  • I'm in Alaska.
  • We're going to Las Vegas in August for my step-daughter's wedding. Since we haven't had a real vacation in many, many years, we decided to get there a week early and do some of the touristy stuff. One of the things we want to do is visit a water park since we live in Alaska and there isn't one real close to us. I'd just…
