Thanks for all the input. I really appreciate it. Some of the things I have tried, others (like the asthma stuff) I've never even considered. I did go back and looked at Jeff Galloway's stuff...I'm going to restart by using his suggested run/walk/run intervals. I have been fitted for shoes after my foot surgery. Again I…

I have used Jeff Galloway's training. Yes I enjoy doing races. I complete 5K's in about 40 minutes. I am training for a 1/2 in October. My foot surgery was in Sept 2016.....I've been running pain free since. My sesamoid bone issue was actually nothing traumatic. I ran a 5K in Nov 2015 and the ball of my foot started…

I'm dealing with that too. The chiropractor kept trying to convince me it was sciatica and keep seeing him every other day at $50 a pop....I had sciatic during pregnancy. It's not that. The doc did mention possible piriformis. But it's only in my right butt check.

I did. She said low impact for now (elliptical) until we can get the spasms to stop.

True they are not. More tone work.

I'd like to maintain running 4-5 days. With a rest day too. So there will be some days where I would probably do both? If doing both in one day should I separate the workouts? I do not like yoga. My mind is not restful enough. Lol.

I'm training for my first one in October. And I'm at the heaviest I've ever been weight wise. New to running in general. Done a few 5K's.

I've had a lot of success with them in the past and rejoined last month. I like that it's 30 minutes in and out do the circuit. I tried doing it like that at a regular gym because it's much cheaper but couldn't make it work because some one was on my machine or I couldn't keep true to the interval times. For most people I…

Logged day 2 and I was at 1225 - my goal is the 1200 - 1500

Today was my first day of the program and I logged. It was 1132 in food and that doesn't count the exercise. It's a little worrisome to me because I find I stall when I don't eat enough. I'm 5'1" and 148lbs. But I was full and must be eating the right combo of food because my macro's where at a 40/30/30 and almost 100g of…

Day one for me. I bought it mostly for the food plan. I'm so freaking outta shape. I have started and stopped running several times. Have finally committed to a 1/2 marathon in October, but have struggled to lose these last 20lbs from baby 3. My biggest struggle is portion control.

New here and today is day 1 for me but I found this amazing recipe so I wanted to share. Sweet Treat: 1 cup plain greek yogurt (1 red) 1 tsp peanut butter (2 spoons) 1 tsp choc chips Vanilla to taste (free)

Same sentiment as many. I will say I'm not "starting over" because for the past year I have maintained my weight, just no significant loss. I'm about 20lbs from goal (still) but have been on a loss/gain cycle for the last year. I'm done with that. Turned 40 last November, my youngest will be going to kindergarten next…

I don't drink that often. Maybe once or twice a month. And when I do it's usually a few glasses of wine. So I treat it as my reward. I'm really bad about counting "liquid" calories anyway (that aren't protein drinks) so I try to be as watchful of calories during the day of if I know I'm going out that night...and then let…

Yes that was very helful. Yesterday was my first full day, so it made sense what you were saying. Thanks

5' 2" and currently at 150.5. My highest was 160. I'd be happy at 130 - for being almost 40 with 3 kids that's a realistic number for me.

I'm doing the one in St Louis April 27th. My friends who have done it say that walking is common especially through the color zones to be able to appreciate the experience. Walkers are common in any 5k that's not a big heated serious computing. Tis is supposed to be fun so just enjoy the experience. I am "running" with my…

They are opening a gym in LSL across the from the Walmart. FINALLY...before that you had to go to Wentzville or Ofallon for a gym. My husband, my son, and I joined. It's supposed to be opening mid-January.

Depends on who's calling. Hubby: "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Calliat Everyone else: "Say" by John Mayer **side note, my xhusband's ringtone was the "sci-fi" tone on my iphone. But he passed away Dec 13th...for a while after his mom was using his phone to call me and it really creaped me out. And now anytime I hear…

That's exactly what I do. I fill it out at the beginning of my day. Use it as a menu planner close it out to see "what I will weigh in 5 weeks" if I stick to the day's plan...and then use that as motivation to stay on track. I have asked MFP to put some kind of a "check mark" device in the food diary. So after I eat…
