I like the Vanilla with a banana, cinnamon, pumpkin spice and a drop of pure maple syrup. Tastes like a cinnamon bun.

I agree with the person who posted about the BMR and TDEE. I used to use MFP's suggestion of 1200 calories a day and was starving. I looked into my BMR and TDEE and created a 500 calorie defecit from that to lose a pound a week. Some days I eat extra workout calories and sometimes I don't, but I find this much more…

I have had the One and the Force. I liked the force, though I felt the One calculated more accurately. My problem with the Force was I was one of those who had a bad reaction to it (rash). They told me the Flex would have the same issue, so I just went back to using my One. If you have an allergies to nickel or sensitive…

My favorite one used on me... "Good thing I brought my library card, cause I'm checking you out!" Also, when in a bar a few years ago, a guy bet me a $1 he could make my boobs move without touching them. He put the dollar down and I had to put my hands behind my head. He then grabbed them and shouted "You win!" Careful…

It is possible that this friend does not realize her acts of sabotage. I think the problem really is her guilt and her wanting you to be doing exactly what she is doing. But perhaps she doesn't mean it in a malicious way. It may be subconscious. I would be honest with her, with how you feel. If you are best friends, she…

Even worse is the judgement of what I eat. I eat very healthy, and have for the past year, even though my weighloss has only been about 10 pounds (not that noticeable on a 212 lb frame)...so I get the constant judgement when people see what I bring in to eat and say "oh trying to get healthy?" or "oh trying to lose…

If you plan to hit the gym and make good food choices, you may be ok if you can't locate the calorie counts. Take walks too! Good luck, enjoy your cruise!!!

I don't eat a Paleo Diet, but I did try the bread, and if it helps, save your money. I suppose if you aren't eating any bread and are craving it, it will suffice as a poor substitution, but it is extremely heavy, very mealy, and almost hard to swallow. But, just like everyone's diets, everyone's tastes are different. So…

Can you explain why all illnesses have quadrupled in the last 40 years? And new, unexplained illnesses? I'm not saying that all food is bad or that clean eating is "the way," but to say we have all been eating "scary chemicals" and we are all fine is completely ignoring the obvious.

You look so strong and fit!! Happy Fitversary and great job!!!

I apply an 80/20 rule to my eating. I definitely don't abide by some people's definition of clean eating. But I do eat wholesome, healthy foods and stay away from processed foods 80% of the time. My 20% is usually in cheese or wine. I'm kind of an everything in moderation person, but I do find boxed/frozen meals make me…

Good luck!!! I, too, have the same goal. The hard part for me is finding the time to exercise!! I need to make it! I quit smoking 2 months ago. Other than a 2 pound gain, I have been fine. It was the first time that I really, really wanted to quit and you know what, I did it....cold turkey. I only seem to crave one when I…

I'm sure you will get a lot of responses with protein powders, as many people know much more than I do about them. I don't like the artifical taste in them, so I don't buy or use them. However, I do make a tasty chocolate smoothie that is super high in protein! 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt 1/4 cup cottage cheese (trust me,…

I had the Fitbit One, and then bought the Fitbit Force, feeling it was an upgrade. I was one of those unfortunate customers who developed a rash. At first I thought it was ringworm, one friend told me it looked like MRSA (idiot) but ultimately I went to the doctor and they said it looked like a fungal infection or allergic…

I guess I should have mentioned that I wear a HRM and a FitbitOne daily. I am actually using those numbers for calorie burn, as MFP is way over.
-
Last question Betty!! If I chose the online activity manager for a year, and chose not to use it next year, will I still be able to use the armband and sync it with MFP? Or is the devive useless without the online activity manager? Thanks :)
-
Good bit of info! Thanks! That was the one distraction, wearing the armband. That is why I like my Fitbit One, it is easy to hide. But I am definitely having an issue with the calories burned. I need something more accurate. Mostly from my exericse, more than my daily burn. I, too, have only done internet/google searches,…

Can I ask you if this is the same model? http://www.amazon.com/BodyMedia-Armband-Weight-Management-System/dp/B0049POHK6/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_1 I see the price is about $20 less than you paid, but from the research it appears to sound the same (I definitely need the bluetooth sync, as well). Thank you so much for the advice. I…
