  • There is a powdered PB called "Just Great Stuff". It's organic and has low cal and fat, which is important to me. It's also great because you can make just one serving and it doesn't have to be in the fridge like other PB
  • It really is a journey. There are some set backs and you have to train your mind along the way, that's the hardest part. Just keep picking yourself back up and try to make a positive change everyday.
  • You should be between 1500 and 2500 mg a day. I try to stay close to the lower end. My mom gets dizzy when her sodium is too low and feels better when she eats something salty. If you don't have high blood pressure or some other reason to do really low sodium just try to keep it under 2500.
  • It could be that you injured them at some point and they haven't had a chance to heal. If it were me I would take a little rest from what you are doing and go back to it once you feel better.
  • Sounds like you are doing great. The proof is in the results and you are getting results!
  • I'm so sorry! My cousin just started the chemo process last week. It's a lot to take in and you need support. Don't be afraid to ask for it! Take it one day at a time. There is no way to predict what is going to happen. Are you going to a good treatment center? The nurses in good centers are always available to answer your…
  • Take exercise out of the equation because you will log that and get extra calories for it. Sedentary is sitting in a chair or laying in a bed most of the day. Walking only to and from your car, etc. If you do any walking at your job or are on your feet a lot doing house work and running kids around you are not sedentary. I…
  • Is this your first pregnancy? Having gas a certain time doesn't mean anything is wrong... it just happens. Follow your doctor or midwifes suggestions about your diet and monitoring your blood sugar. Controlling this now will give you a better chance of a normal delivery.
  • May I suggest less calorie dense foods? Looks like you would benefit from getting more fiber from fruits and vegetables. Almost everyday you have a meal that is about 800 calories. Try spreading the calories out through the day more.
  • Not exciting, but practical....spend the day with my kids and make my wishes known to friends and relatives about the care of my children.
  • You can get ideas from looking at peoples food diaries. I like bell peppers with hummus. I have cucumber several times a day because I am trying to have veggies at every meal. I make zucchini pancakes for breakfast (egg whites, shredded zucchini, oat bran, cinnamon and vanilla served with sugar free syrup). Try to think of…
  • As many have said, losing weight and watching sodium. I try to be at or under 1500mg a day. My NP recommended the DASH diet.
  • Welcome back and feel free to add me as well.
  • I am doing Chris Powell's carb cycling program. The book is called "Choose to Lose". It has worked for me when nothing else did. It keeps your body confused because you alternate days you eat carbs, have one day where you can eat 1000 extra calories and every 4th week is all high carb. It works for the obese people on the…
  • Over the counter products containing HCG are illegal. There are many clinics that offer this program under their supervision. The difference between the one the poster's mother is going to and a reputable on is this....They will tell you not to do more than one round. It is meant to reset your hypothamlus. It is meant for…
  • Sad, but true...you can get HCG in injectable form on the internet. If your mom wants it bad enough she will get it without the clinic. You have expressed your concerns and that's all you can do besides calling the state as one poster suggested.
  • Good job. I can see a difference. No more bra bulge in the back. Arms smaller. Hips and tummy smaller:happy:
  • Have you ever tried to lose weight in the past? If so, you will recall that this is how it goes... it comes flying off the first 2-4 weeks, you start calculating that you will be model skinny in 3 months and then it slows down to what is healthy and normal but you get discouraged because you won't meet that goal in your…
  • My weight issues and yo yo dieting really started with the birth of my first child 14 years ago. I feel for you. All you can do is evaluate and work a program that you know you can stick to. If you fall, and you will, just get back up again and don't let it turn into a long term break. Good luck on your journey!
  • I have a Body Media armband and aim for a 1,000 calorie deficit a day. I am trying to lose weight so I don't eat back my exercise calories.
  • I'm sorry. This is the second year in a row that both of my kids went to sleep away camp for over a month and I thought I would be so productive and free! Turns out I have no life! I have been thinking a lot about what I want my life to look like once they become independent. Maybe you should do the same? Join some groups…

  • I fear that my drive will somehow vanish, as it has in the past. This time I am really working on consistency and working a plan that I know I can maintain rather than start some crazy thing that is not sustainable. I need to woek on keeping promises to myself so I can start trusting myself as well.
  • Mine are almost exactly the same as yours @slim4health56
  • I also agree with the first poster but will add that noticable changes happen around 15-20% loss, so that would depend what weight you started at. Are your clothes fitting looser? Maybe you will notice something if you get a new outfit?
  • I will add you. If this is your 6th child you probably have a few that are my kids age. When I say I am fat my kids will tell me I'm not. Oh how they change! LOL
  • Good job! You look great!
  • Congratulations!
  • There is a site... sleepyti.me You put in the time that you need to wake up and it tells you what times you should fall asleep to coordinate with your REM cycles so you don't wake up in the middle of one. Even if you can't get the full 8 hours at least you will get the most rest possible.
  • Congratulations! I wish I could see the pics! The address doesn't work.
