I have been logging my food for 350 days. 350 days. I have lost 50 pounds.
I have 14ish to go.
This is my 3rd plateau.
I broke the first one with fasting.
The second one by trying eat more to lose more, That resulted in an 8 pound gain over the 3 months I gave that. I got those 8 pounds back off by going back to 1200-1500 calories.
I have been the same weight as I was before the second plateau that resulted in re-losing the weight gained.
my range is 158-161.
I'm 38 and 5'7"
my job involves walking, lots of walking. I work in as a lab tech/waste water operator.
I'm frustrated.
I'm now stressed and coming out of some really tough life experiences, less than 2 weeks ago a terminally ill family member passed away.
Is this a plateau or is this just as much as I can lose?
I tried fasting to a few days, maybe a week or so back to see if that would shake it off like it did in January, when I last hit a plateau that did not result in a gain attempting to break it.
I am going on a vacation in 43 days. I am between sizes, everything is either too tight or to big. I want my vacation, but dread it because literally I have nothing but yoga pants that fit right. I do not want to go to New Orleans for a romantic anniversary that will include nice places wearing yoga pants.
How do I shake these last 14-ish pounds. I tried eating more it did not work.

Set your calorie goal to lose half a pound a week. Make sure your profile isn't set to sedentary. Eat back exercise calories. Time and patience.
If you don't already, consider lifting heavy, which will make your size smaller if eating at a deficit.
The stress may have caused hormonal responses such as cortisol which may be preventing weight loss.0 -
I am doing Chris Powell's carb cycling program. The book is called "Choose to Lose". It has worked for me when nothing else did. It keeps your body confused because you alternate days you eat carbs, have one day where you can eat 1000 extra calories and every 4th week is all high carb. It works for the obese people on the show!0

Try changing up your workout routine. Your body gets used to doing the same activities all the time. Try some HIIT cardio, strength training, circuit training, cardio with incline.0
