Just starting back too! Trying to figure out the app again

:)

Hi Hunter. Good luck. This app really helps me track calories, when I use it. I have a very active job in a tire factory so that helps burn calories. Good luck. I'm always open to new friends.

Cute dog. I am REALLY the opposite. Just trying to track calories although app does lead a person to better nutrition. Good luck.

Also trying to lose some of the weight I gained after I stopped logging meals. I love how easy it is to see that exercise adds calories to my daily goal. Add me as a friend if you want.

I have a sweet tooth too. I have had some sort of ice cream every day for a month. Faithful logging and stop eating at or around my mfp calorie limit is what I do. One dessert per day is another way of putting it.

Try this for some humor. Quick add a very large number of calories and then complete the log. MFP once said I would weigh a billion pounds.

I have kind of hit a motivational wall at right around 100 days into logging my food. Even with a ton of support. My sweet tooth haunts me. I have to remember I have made a lot of progress I dont want to give up. I feel better than I used to. I look better. My 'skinny' clothes I thought I would never wear fit me. I have to…

I'm not an expert. TDEE is Total Daily Energy Expenditure. Measured in calories. Otherwise known as maintenance calorie amount. Mine is around 3000 to 3500 calories. Subtract 20 percent to get an amount you should eat to lose weight at a healthy rate. I have heard that weight training does not burn many calories.

Bump. In NO way is my opinion expert. I eat healthy snacks when I am active and little or no snacks on sedentary days. Also I have a sweet tooth and a small unhealthy snack at night ( a girl scout cookie) keeps me from binging.

Yes! What craze? I don't get out to often.

Hey Mac. Mike here. I'm also tall And started mfp at 300 lbs. Keep up the good work. FR sent.
-
Thank you

Keep up the good work. Find ways to eat with your friends. Some people at my job think I eat rabbit food and ask me if I really like what I'm eating. Others are very respectful of my efforts. At least two people I know have started diets in part because of my weight loss results.

I tend to get only motivated the hard way. After whatever it is I'm doing roughs me up. Overeating finally made me large enough (300 lbs) to want to change. It is something of a chore but I am trying to embrace it. Like any other chore I am seeing results from the work. On the plus side by following the advice I have read…

I'm not so good on the nutrition side, yet. I stay under on my calories most days and drink water like its my job.
-
Great cardio sports. I sent a friend request.

friend request sent.

Anyone can add me as a friend. I need all of the good examples I can get.
-
Congratulations on making a decision to improve your health. Anyone please feel free to add me. I can use the encouragement and accountability to a group.

2522 minus 20 % equals 2018 calories.

I just checked my BMI, old formula and new formula both below 30. I am not classified as obese! Merely overweight. I am psyched to tell people, " Hey! I'm overweight!"
-
It sounds low. I'm 6'5 250 and mfp sets my calorie goal around 2600 to lose a pound a week. I am losing 4-5 pounds a week but i started with plenty to lose.

I haven't been doing this long enough to know much about it. It seems that you can try one activity level for a while and see what results you are getting. Then maybe try the other setting. Other members with more experience may be able to fill out that rough outline with some details. I have my mfp activity level set to…

Good question. I wonder the same thing. I started logging on mfp about ten weeks ago. I'm down almost 50 pounds and it hasn't slowed down yet. I did have a lot to lose and I have a very active job. The drastic weight loss almost freaks me out like it is to fast but I feel great and I consistently eat over 2400 calories. My…

I love that idea.

I had a Special K bar almost every day this week. I consider them on the healthier side of MY diet. Still losing weight but I had a lot to lose. I can't answer your question, I just like the bars.
