Are you taking progress pictures? I tend to notice that with areas I'm super self conscious about I will NEVER notice changes but when you have pictures you CANT deny the fact that things are changing!

For real - I do believe in cutting it back to smaller more attainable goals. For example I used to reward myself every 3 or 4 pounds lost and that made it more do'able than saying I need to lose 30 pounds.

Ditto to everyone who says not to stop lifting your weights - I'm not sure if you can see the pics in my profile but Ive lost a good deal of size as a result of my weight lifting. I start to LOOK significantly smaller despite not losing huge numbers of pounds. Jeans size went down significantly. Any women who lift please…

Spanx I don't know about really. Ive never really been into "shapewear" because I always felt like whatever it was that I was trying to suck in came out elsewhere. Either way, I HAVE tried spanx leggings. They are super expensive but make you look so good (the ones I have are high waisted and suck me in through the tummy…

Thanks - I definitely will.

I completely understand this feeling too it can be COMPLETELY overwhelming to get back on track and stay on track. Some people preach baby steps so that you can have SMALL goals (stop drinking soda OR drink more water etc) that are easier to attain but I've always been the ALL or NOTHING type. Up to you, see what works for…

Its all about adapting and figuring out what works for you. Maybe you end up feeling good at a higher weight than that? You look great in your profile picture by the way! What a beautiful baby!

[/quote] Just as an observation (and not directed at yopeeps at all, except this reminded me of it): I did some online dating back in the day, and the majority of guys said that an interest in fitness was an important quality to them (including my DH). Several even went so far as to say that if you weren't fit, they…

I am a HUGE stress eater and will eat things that are just notoriously "bad" and I want to eat them in large quantities and not in moderation. I'm a hot mess when I'm stressed. . .instead of tackling this issue, I have tackled what is considered "stress" and what I allow myself to get upset about. . . but its probably…

My doctor has literally NEVER mentioned not a word about weight to me!!!! I've been anywhere from 189 to 135 and have bounced up and down and now am teatering (and looking to stop that) around the 150 range. In all of that time, I have been in to see him multiple times and he has seen me at all points in this range and…

You mean the person that you meet MUST make their health and fitness a huge priority?
-
That you actually CAN do it. . . . this is possible. . . . that you CAN be the person that you aspire to be. I read so many articles about how discouraging it is for all of "us normal people" to look at women in magazines etc which always made me feel like "we don't want to be looking at people in magazines or the fitness…

LOL to "making memories" and "indulging sometimes" - only because I've been single for such a long time period that if I were to do that with everyone I go on a few dates with. . . I'd be huge. Planning ahead will be a big deal. . meeting someone who has similar goals would be awesome and maybe I should be looking for…

Drinking is not typically a HUGE issue for me in terms of dating because I'm a female and have a pretty low tolerance so after 1 and a half vodka/soda I am starting to feel a little tipsy (laugh now. . .its fine) which is not my desired mindset/frame of reference for getting to know someone LOL. I guess that is a blessing…

Right - guess I didn't consider there is a simple and sweet way to say it instead of saying something to the effect that if I don't watch what I eat, I start to feel like a whale    Truly shouldn't be anyone elses concern about what I'm eating. . . I guess I'm a little self conscious about all things…

I think anything "can" work and weight watchers really is a reasonable concept and just transfers many of the nutrients we count here into POINTS - I did weight watchers in the past and did lose weight - I did gain it back but it was my fault (not the system).
-
I used to but I would be absolutely miserable on the fasting day . . . so I stopped. I find that there are better ways for me to maintain and even "reset" my system than a complete fast which causes me to want to kill everyone in my path but to each their own.

I am always afraid to weigh myself. . .. if the scale says what I want it to say or better then will I ruin it with an unhealthy treat and spiral into a binge? If it doesnt say what I want I can start to think "whats the point?" and just go out of control. . .. and on occasion I am a sane person and I just say "oh okay"…

I chose my goal weight based on how I remember looking/feeling the last time I was at that weight. That being said, I do a considerable amount of weight training now compared to what I used to do then so its possible that I will have a heavier weight but be comfortable with the way my body feels before the goal weight. I…

I make coffee in my keurig and buy new and interesting flavors that I know I'll love waking up to. I do my coffee with fat free half and half and then 2 truvia and then I'm out the door. Sometimes I do end up at Starbucks and I get a skinny vanilla latte - depends on the day.

I saved calories yesterday EXCLUSIVELY so that I could eat 4 servings of kettle cooked potato chips. Just chose healthier options during the day and got in lean proteins so I wouldn't be low in my protein intake.
-
I ALWAYS underestimate my intake. . . even when I'm trying to be sensible. I just don't have the right gauge on portion sizes yet. Which means I ALWAYS use measuring cups and food scales now. . not much room for error. Having to write down what I've had helps with this because how else can you track serving size? :-) For…

FYI - I splurge and "drink" my calories on days where I need a treat and this is what I feel like or just if I feel like I don't have enough time or motivation to do something real. Whole foods are great but when I can't find the oomph or I'm not capable of getting it together to make real food I don't mind reaching for a…

Cobb Salad - not the healthiest thing but it fits in my macros but I'll eat a little lighter tonight.
-
I'd most likely do my go to and pack in some protein like some egg beaters and then something else small to go next to it. I run into this every once in a while as a result of the candy bowl that sits in my office at work.

I'd love more friends on here! I'd love to keep up my progress- I just posted progress pictures today (from my journey so far) Can everyone see them?
-
I've never even heard of this - is this just a book for woman just starting to lift weights? I started lifting in july but would probably benefit from a book on the basics!!!
-
I don't know where you can find that as I have never heard of it (I'm clearly very uninformed). But I use a product called Quadralean and I like that.
-
I don't do it daily or monthly. . . just when I feel like I can. I am a reformed ED sufferer and have gone in waves. When I was deep in my ED I would weigh every few HOURS. Although I'd consider myself recovered, I went through a period of time a couple months ago where I would weigh myself daily and my mood for the day…

Whoop whoop - for real!!!! Congrats! Keep it moving!
