And if you're not willing to burn the calories before you eat it, you sure as heck won't be afterwards, so don't kid yourself.

If you really want it, burn off the calories before you eat it. After an hour (or two or three or four) in the gym see if you really want to blow all that hard work with a crummy mcdouble

Here is the info from my dash board. Last night is the highest/biggest bar. 2 things changed:* I changed the setting to be less sensitive * My husband slept on the couch because I was "kicking and rolling". I think tonight I will have to wrap myself in a sheet like a burrito and see what happens.

logg1e - no i feel more exhausted than i did a week ago, when i was waking up from 1-3 am because of the cold.

I think its more telling that the lyrics equate the level of acceptability of a body type with what "men" or "boys" want. If I listened to what my husband said about how I look I'd still be overweight and miserable with myself. The only opinion I care about is MINE.

I suggest slow down your running speed a little to help with breathing, and personally I don't drink at all when I am running - I drink up to an hour before and when I'm done but I always get a stitch if I drink while running. At the very least, wait to drink until about ~1 hour into your workout. I use a heart rate…

Heat up a pan, throw some chopped bacon in to fry, when it's about half done throw the washed and chopped kale on top, stirring every ten or twenty seconds to let it wilt and get the good bacon flavor all over it. Or soups.

If you don't look forward to your work outs, you're working too hard. This is a lesson it's taken me a REALLY long time to realize. I have been "a runner" since 2011 and working on getting in shape for a lot longer than that - I've done 3 half marathons but never really felt that great about any of them because I always…
-
It isn't in addition it's because I can't fit it in. Please can you tell me where I can fit in the hour of lift when I can only just fit in 40 mins of running. They are saying doing the running every other day, and on "non-running" days do lifting. IDK what your goals are for the 10k but I've done half marathons with less…

Black but it has to be made correctly. If you have to add sugar or cream, you might as well drink a milkshake :P

bring the phone into the bathroom when you weigh yourself, or I always log my exercise calories while i am stretching it out at the end of my run. if you just log your weight or 1 thing for the entire day it still counts

hi again shapelyj! I use MapMyRun and it actually has built-in challenges that have real prizes! You might like that if you are competitive, the GNC Beat Average challenge just started recently.

I know this isn't what you asked but as someone who didn't realize how good I had it until my last semester, my advice is not to fart around, period. Even if you're overloading on credits, you'll probably be spending less than a "grown-up" 9-5 in class - use that extra time. Study, work out, hone a skill, learn a new…

Sins are currency - with each one you're buying yourself admittance to a "hell". We commit sins based on a complex mental arithmetic comparing current benefit (in the case of mac & cheese or dietary "sins", how good it will taste) versus future losses, aka the nebulous concept of a "hell". The fallacy here is that there is…

If you think you're not getting enough, try eating back 60%. P90X/Insanity is pretty intense, and your body may be swollen, sore and even though you are losing weight you are also presumably building muscle. In addition to taking your weight measurement on the scale, try tracking the circumference of your biceps, thighs,…

If you're really worried about it and want to give your daughter some valuable lessons, try finding farms you can make a day-trip to. Grass-fed beef, pastured animals (don't let anyone try to tell you about "grass fed" chickens, those things will eat anything they can get), vegetable farms, etc. See if you can find a…

Have something just a little "bad" every day, and let "cheats" happen naturally rather than planning them. I don't feel super guilty about having a square of dark chocolate or a glass of chocolate soy milk as a treat, but it satisfies the craving for something "naughty". Then if something big comes up - a family dinner, a…

Yo, apart from all the other advice you're getting here, you need to STOP THIS HABIT RIGHT NOW. Seriously. You are going to mentally associate this person with eating crap food and then when you start seeing this person more frequently, you will end up eating crap food every time, until "cheat day" becomes "cheat week"…

My advice is to not worry so much about the sugar contained in fruits and vegetables, especially if they are whole or only lightly cooked, because those contain the fiber necessary to help your body process those sugars at a more controlled rate as opposed to the spike you get from a Snickers bar or whatever. If you're…

I also try to limit my sugars, but not to that extent. The main thing you'll have to do is cut out the majority of processed grains, no breads or pastry. You'll be drinking only plain water, unsweetened tea or coffee (tip for unsweetened coffee: get a french press and freshly ground beans, it makes all the difference!) and…

TMI: There is literally no better feeling on earth than feeling fat and bloated because you've been suckin down that agua, then you go take a pee and your waistband is 3 inches looser.

I won't lie...you guys are not the first to tell me I wasn't eating enough but yeah, I was stubborn and refused to believe it. And someone said, I must be run down trying to exercise on 1200 calories and..yeah, I very often am (it doesn't help that I'm only getting maybe about 6hrs sleep a night) - which is why even though…

I wanted to thank everyone for all the advice, I'm still interested in seeing more posts on the topic, but just as a follow up, I am going to increase my daily by I guess about 200 calories to 1500 and see how that works, I'm just going to keep telling myself it's food for my muscles.

My settings are custom, 1,318 calories a day, I used this forum post to generate that and the following values: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121703981 148g protein/d 45% 44g fat/d 30% 82g carbs/d 25% 'I have it set to sedentary because I am sitting down roughly 14 hours a day thanks to work and my…

Based on my last recorded measurements, my BF% is approx 26%. I use a heartrate strap/watch (Polar F7) so I have a roughly accurate calorie count from my exercise, I also wore the strap for 24 hours and roughly my daily, non-exercising calories was about 1900-2000, average for a 5'4" female. You probably can't see my…

What works for me is basically planning my meals for the day ahead of time. I don't deny myself, I eat foods I like, and I know typically when cravings hit and what I will crave, so I plan ahead and always have a backup just in case. Example: I always want a nibble of some kind of sweet pastry right when I get to work. So…

5'4" - 130lbs and I wear size 8 pants, most of my weight is in my *kitten* and thighs :(

I agree with this. Food is fuel - what you need to ask yourself is what do you want to do with the energy food is giving you. Just looking at your exercise diary honeylissabee, I can't tell what exercise activities you're doing, if any. So as an example, my "goal activities" are to do well in kickboxing, and to improve at…

5'4", CW 130, GW is around 120 but having a hard time despite exercise and eating as clean as possible, hope I can get some ideas and inspiration from you ladies!

I'm willing to bet it's just put the cucumber in the juicer then drink XD I have an Omega juicer at home (my fiance does juice fasts) and it was well worth the investment.
