Sloth is pretty much the right word for me 3 weeks ago too! Maybe my body is just confused because I'm moving now and doesn't know what to do. Thanks for your input. I tend to over-analyze everything. Good luck!

I guess "chill" is as good advice as any. I know eventually if I keep doing my thing it will come off. I love weight training but just don't have much opportunity to really get into it. I don't have a gym at this point. I can do some at home with just my own body weight though. Thanks!

Yes! And one I fight almost daily! And one I've lost for years. But still fighting it! One day I'll win.

I have a TON of quotes that i just love. But I'll stick to one. "Every man dies, but not every man lives." It reminds me to live life to the fullest. I don't always do it, but sometimes you've got to remember you've only got 1 life to live and might as well live it up!

When I told myself this morning that I might as well give up and ate a huge breakfast! Then I realized giving up will get me nowhere and got myself back on track. It's a struggle to keep myself from quitting!!!

So jealous! Thanks for sharing. You look awesome.

I have the same thing. To be honest, after 10 years of trying to get this weight off I'm still struggling. But at least I'm still working at it. One of these days I'll beat it for good. I can't wait for that day to come! Just keep going. Don't let it beat you.

Thanks everyone. I will talk to my doctor. I am very, very heavy so 15 pounds should be plenty. An extra 300 a day isn't really that much. A couple glasses of milk and there you go! I just don't want to see 300 and more than 15 pounds will put me over. That is a number I never in my life thought I would see. It'd break my…

Thanks. I have already started trying to lose some and have been doing good. I do want to continue with my healthy lifestyle while pregnant so that I don't have to work so hard to lose all that extra weight. I would actually love to maintain or not gain more than 15 pounds, which they say is ok for very heavy women during…

I've had my Wii Fit for awhile, so it's probably not the new fancy version. Thanks, I was wondering!
-
Actually my Wii has never once told me how many calories I have burned. How do you get it to do that?

I had a trainer a couple of years ago and she would make me push myself. I have to say it was a good feeling and I really felt like I had accomplished something afterward. She would do things like make me run a mile in under 10 minutes (pretty good for a fat girl). She also would make me do like 45 minutes on the treadmill…

That's good news for me!

I know everyone says not to weigh everyday, but it kind of keeps me motivated. I like to see my progress daily. My scale does very precise measurements, so I can see if I've lost .2 or .5 or whatever. And yes, some days I gain, but I know it fluctuates. It kind of makes me feel more in control somehow. I don't think it has…

Yes, you are not eating enough!!!! Everyone on MFP will tell you the same thing, eat more!

Good job!!!! This is a hard time of year. Treats around every corner :(

Hula hoop and running burns calories, but the balance games I wouldn't play for weight loss. I enjoy the yoga also. I use it as a tool for shaking things up every now and then, but I wouldn't call it a wonderful exercise regimen everyday.

This is a great site to help you learn to count calories. The main thing YOU have to do, is make sure that you measure and weigh everything that you eat and drink. That is a absolute must if you want your calorie count to be accurate. As for knowing how much you are burning, I would say you're just going to have to go with…

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to hopefully having a success story one of these days :)

I think neverbeenskinny explained it perfectly. It tracks several different factors to tell you how much you are burning. What I like is that it is more accurate so I know exactly how much I'm burning, and you can see minute by minute what you've burned throughout the day. The only downfall so far is that it does not have…

Well just when I said I was back, I got a bodybugg for Christmas. I finally got it up and working today so it looks like I'll be logging my foods and exercise on that program instead. I still love MFP but very excited about using my new bodybugg. I still plan on checking in though. Anybody else used the bugg??

Just wanted to say hello. I have been on a horrible break from watching my weight, and have gained 20 lbs back. I used to be here on MFP quite a bit, and I see tons of new people. I'm feeling so tired and fat that I've decided it's time to get back with it, and the week of Christmas-isn't that going to be hard! I just…

I got up early this morning and exercised!!! I've been in such a funk for the last month or so, and this morning I broke through. I'm soooo happy. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you finally break through I guess. If I wasn't there, I was pretty close. YAY for me, hope to keep it up!!!

All I can say is WOW. I can't help but think you're a bit nuts, lol. I couldn't even bike 5 miles without falling over.

Well I might have told him, But don't feel bad. Last year we had heard that my husbands sister was cheating on her husband, but we didn't really know if it was true so we didn't say anything to him. Figured it wasn't our business. (Even though I'd like someone to tell me if they knew that) Well turns out it was true and he…

I was having the same problem. So I reset my goals to lose weight slower, but get to eat more calories. I'm hoping that helps me. Another thing I"m having trouble with is that I used to go out every weekend with my friends. Well that always motivated me to do well during the week because I wanted to wear my skinny clothes…

Eat tomorrow for sure. Just stay in your calorie range. It takes 3500 cal to gain 1 pound, so you haven't done enough harm yet. Get back on track tomorrow!!! That stinks that you are stuck in bed, but don't let it ruin your efforts.
-
THe only time I've found is after the little one is in bed! It stinks to work out so late, but that's all the time I can find.

There was an experiment with rats. When they were given artificial sweetner it caused them to eat more. Basically the body thought it was getting sugar because it tasted sweet, but there were no calories associated with it. SO they ended up eating more to compensate. No proof that it works the same way in humans. This is a…
