  • Yes that makes perfect sense and is exactly what I was wondering!! Thanks so much!!
  • I had a Twix the other day...it left my mouth with that lard coated feeling! It was awful!
  • I think I'm one of the odd ones out! No specific size for me...just healthy! In any one store I can fit anything from a 12-16 depending on the designer of the clothes..it all depends on what fits and doesn't cut me in half! Size on the label isn't no longer important to me.
  • I am on Cipralex and Wellbutrin and YES they have caused weight gain and have made losing a very difficult task. I try not to focus on the losing weight part but rather on just being healthy. I can't be without meds or I'll wind up in the same boat as I was (I tried). Anyone with a medical condition takes what they need to…
  • Eating gluten free completely when you're not celiac can be very difficult. Not impossible but hard to maintain. I have a very good friend who is Celiac, she was terribly sick...exhausted, rash all over and stomach pains all the time. She's one year diagnosed and gluten free and doing very well. I too would suggest going…
  • We are a family of four...myself, my husband and two teenage boys! I spend anywhere between $1500-$2000/month!! Drives me crazy! We don't eat out alot and I don't by pre-packaged meals, we cook from scratch for pretty much everything.
  • Its Healthy in moderation..sprinkle a bit on some plain greek yogurt and you have yourself a high protein breakfast or snack!
  • Hi blondie! i too have just signed up. I have previously lost 80 lbs, kept if off for 7 years and then fell ill. The medication I was put on had a large role in me packing on 50 lbs, and while I was just so happy to be feeling like myself again it's time to get this excess weight off! I'm a mom and a wife who wants to be…
  • Hi there! I have the same problem...I have been known to go up to two weeks between bathroom stops! Here's what I use. About 4-6 oz of raw apple juice..blend in 2tbsp of chlorophyll and 2 Tbsp of aloe vera juice (innerleaf fillet) mix with 1 heaping tsp of psyllium husk powder shake well and drink up! Follow with a tall…
  • I make mine totally different than anyone else on here! I put my eggs in cold water, bring to a boil, turn burner OFF cover pot with lid and let sit on burner for 12-15 minutes! Remover from burner and soak in ice cold water!
  • Although I'm in Canada I homeschool my 13 year old who is in grade 8 and will begin my 12 year old next year as he goes into grade 7. We homeschooled last year and really enjoyed it but they thought they wanted to go back to the classroom. School is not what it used to be, at least here anyhow. Apart from home it was the…
  • My family and I eat supper together every night, most times it's fresh cooked, meat/carb/veggie...that's how I was raised. Chicken, rice, veggie....steak, baked potatoe, salad. My husband and I along with our two children have always sat down to eat together, we're finding that as the kids are getting older it's an…
  • When I was reading some stuff from Bob Harper...one of his tips was to not drink your calories. For whatever reason our bodies don't process it the same way, and, our brain doesn't trigger that we've eaten.
  • Depression is a painful thing to live with, I lived it with it for years before going to a doctor. If it's a clinical depression you really need to see a dr. No amount of exercise or positive thinking will help lift the cloud that hangs over you. Those things will help you to feel better once you're on the mend of course!…
  • I always had a cheat day, which would turn into cheat days! Now I do as another poster said, work my TREAT not CHEAT into my day. If I want cheesecake, I have cheesecake, I track it down and work my day around it. If I'm craving chocolate I choose what I'm craving and track it. I try not deprive myself or you can eat 500…
  • Thanks so much! I wondered if they would be "beginners" or not! I was always a go hard or go home kinda person so it's nice to know that it may be too much to begin with but not to give up!
  • Agree! I have a 12 year old and a 13 year old who eat non-stop...its very hard to keep enough in the house the keep them fed!
  • My suggestion would be to be sure to include two snacks each day...one morning, one afternoon. This will help keep your blood sugars level. A drop in blood sugars can cause moodiness and fatigue. Be sure to take in enough healthy fats as well, our bodies need a certain amount in order to function properly! Too, do you eat…
  • I have always had stretch marks, after having two children in 13 months apart I really have them! No kidding from underbust to pubic bone and across! They are faded into skin tone but they are there and they are visible. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 15 years and we have been together for 20...hes never…
  • Yup! I try to remember that slow and steady wins the race, we aren't really ever "done" or else the weight will come right back on. The number on the scale is only a small part living and maintaining a healthy weight, try to focus on the positive results when you feel like you just can't do it anymore. 17lbs is fantastic!
  • Big Big difference!! You look beautiful! Your face has slimmed down and so has your mid section! You're looking great. 12lbs is 12 blocks of butter...stack that up and see how much it really is! I always find that visual is great, when I think 1lb...cuz that's one block of butter off my butt! *lol* keep up the great work
  • Fitness guru Bob Harper has great advice in his skinny rules book! The one thing that I found super interesting is that most people don't eat enough protein, and that's often what gets cut out of diets. His advice was half your weight should be eaten in protein grams. So if a person weighs 200lbs then they should be having…
  • Hi there! To me that pic looks like a pretty average mommy tummy, although I'm sure there are ways to flatten it out remember that having a baby changes the way your body is shaped. That pic is definately not lose skin, that I can assure you of! *experience talking here! * I had two babies within 13 months and I…
  • Good Morning! being a mom of young kids is super busy and you are tired, found when mine were young I'd even just make sure that everytime I had something to go upstairs I would take it up, that way I was doing stairs more than just once by throwing everything into a bin and hauling it up1 I have also found alot of…
