  • Definitely seeing a change in the abs! Take the weight lost as a positive!
  • I'm a tad behind, started level 2 today... yuck! My hamstrings are so tight I can never do those walk our plank things (well, I can get out there, but not back up without bending my knees!) ... had to do the modified version on the plank jacks about half way through and all the jumping is really starting to bother my knees…
  • arms -.5" ea thigh -1.5" left, -1" right waist @ belly button -1" hip -.5" under bust -1" bust -.5" scale up 2lbs (definitely some water retention going on)
  • Same boat here... gained 2 lbs since starting the shred, but it may just be about that time of the month. I've been doing additional cardio and weights on top of doing the shred, I worked out too much on Friday (1 hour spin in the morning, shred, then weights and 45 min elliptical in the evening), so skipped the shred on…
  • Great idea! I'm Sheila, married to James for a little over 14 years. We have 5 children, 13, 11, 7, 5, and 3. I've been working on the "weight loss thing" for about 2 years now. I steadily gained weight after the last 3 kids, and then after the very last one, I never lost the baby weight, infact just gained more because of…
  • L1D4 done! (After my 1 hour spinning class too!) cardio was a bit harder today since I did 30DS after my regular Friday gym workout. I haven't seen the scale go down yet, infact, it has crept up - but I'm not going to worry about that just yet (it aways goes up before it goes down when I add in a new type of exercise)
  • I did 22 modified the first set, but only can manage 12-14 for the second set. I've never been able to do pushups like that before, however I've been working on the strength training machines at the Y the last two months, so it may have helped (that and mind over matter! my arms are SHAKING at the end of each set!)
  • This is my favorite... Mixed lettuces, grilled chicken breast, 1-2 TBSP each of chopped fresh cilantro, corn, red onion, bell/anaheim pepper, and black beans. take 1 tbsp bbq sauce, add a little water to thin it and drizzle over the salad. if you have the calories to spare, you can toss a couple of crushed tortilla chips…
  • Day 3 done! (skipped Tuesday due to strength training at the gym ... probably going to continue 30DS daily now even if I do strength elsewhere) I'm also doing strength training and cardio at the Y 3-5 times a week (using their new MobileFit program so I can learn all the weight machines). I also try and do a 45 minute…
  • I broke my thumb last year (in a cast up to my elbow though) and continued to exercise... mostly indoors (so it was air conditioned/cooler and therefore less sweaty inside my cast, lol). I did run a few times outside, but didn't cycle at all outdoors, however I did do a spin class twice a week while in the cast.
  • I am going to try and go 30 days straight, but with everything else going on (Monday elliptical & pilates, running / AMT Tuesday, 1 hr spin Wed, elliptical / running Thurs, 1 hr spin Friday ... plus strength training program at the Y 3 days a week) I may end up missing a day here or there ( I missed day 2 yesterday, but I…
  • Add me! I just started it yesterday, haven't gotten around to doing it yet today, although I did do a lot of the same stuff at the gym this morning for my strength training, and then 35 minutes of cardio (couldn't pass up my gym workout, earning points to get free personal training sessions!)
  • Please send me an invite as well... just picked up 30 day shred and planned to start today!
  • check out Ben Davis's story... he's lost over 100lbs by starting to exercise and trying to watch what he eats... no surgery, hcg, or crazy diet stuff http://bendoeslife.tumblr.com/ he's a real inspiration!
  • I know how you feel... I've recently taken up jogging again, and am totally preoccupied about how much I jiggle when I run... but you know what? If the other people around are going faster than you, they aren't really paying attention to you anyway, and if you are in front of someone, well, we may be jiggling, but at least…
  • Hi Ladies Just found your thread.... also a SAHM. I have 5 kiddos, 12, 10, 6, 4, and almost 3. I've been on my weight loss journey since November of 2009. Lost 10 lbs in '09, 20 in '10, hit a plateau in July 2010 but I'm still working hard at it. Currently working on running a 5k without stopping to walk. Also do pilates,…
  • I weigh in every Monday morning before breakfast, and record the weight loss or gain. You should weigh in once a week, same day of the week, same time of day. Your weight fluctuates too much to get on the scale more often than that. Say you gain 1-2 lbs this week but next week you are back down those 1-2 lbs, you aren't…
